how do you think Putin, Venezuela and Iran feel about the US policy right now? I'm fairly certain that has more to do with the current price of oil than your angle back then. you asserted that we'd be paying $7/gallon and I told you precisely what was going to happen over a six month period at the time - that prices would drop, and they did.

Communist China obtains most of their crude from Iran through the Strait of Hormuz. So far. not even ONE Chinese soldier has sustained as much as a hangnail through defending their supply of oil, the derivatives, of course being used to manufacture the junk that they and their global corporate capitalist cohorts export and sell to US consumers. So our troops have essentially fought, been wounded, maimed and killed, not just to supposedly defend our way of life and freedoms, but also indirectly to protect China's interests, all the while we borrowed from them to help fund the Iraq invasion and occupation.
