I never saw this the first go-round, (as I didn't have HBO in the 90s) except for a couple clips on youtube over the years.

I found seasons 1 & 2 used, and have been watching it with the wife.

this show might've been among the funniest shows ever on tv. almost every skit is hilarious, and it doesn't seem dated or ridiculous or anything, even though it's over 10 years old.

in a perfect world, this would be on Saturday nights still instead of SNL.
 
Yep. Definitely overlooked. Probably one of my top 5 favorite comedy's of all time. It's great reading how many comedians Bob and David inspired with this show too.

Bob was actually with SNL for a while.

Mr. Show was definitely a lot less ready for prime time than the original not ready for prime time players.
