interesting matchup tonight, MSU and ND have played 94 times in hoops, by far the most of any non conference opponent but not since 1979. ND is favored by 2.5, somewhat surprising but it is a home game for them, they're 5-1 with no good wins and a loss to Providence. MSU is playing their 4th game in the last 7 days and 6th in the last 13, also our 6th game away from Breslin in our first 8 games. Alvin Ellis practiced monday and looked surprisingly good but Izzo said that he would be pretty limited, said that he's hoping to have him back at 90% by the OU game on 12/14. This will be a tough assignment shorthanded but it's a very important game for us in terms of RPI and seeding, it's our last quality opponent until big ten play starts. I'd be happy with a 2 loss preseason given who we played, this one is big for us.
I'm also interested to see Demetrius Jackson who I really liked as a recruit, we had to slow play him waiting for Parker/Young and others unfortunately. He plays like Travis Walton but with a better jump shot.
