i personally don't think we deserve to be ranked - right now we are not playing good football - we have been slow an d flat, offense still not clicking (just winning isn't enough- remember it was EMU)...

but i just want to keep improving and ultimately get the ranking for the wins we deserve

I agree ML but I will say we are starting to play better against the run now then we were. Big Will has started to step up and Ryan looks like the real deal. We need to play a full 60 min. I want to see us grab a team by the balls from the coin flip and beat them up and down the field. Now if that team is MSU or Ohio even better. I think they have better teams than we are but we can compete.

Yeah i don't want to be ranked either but I bet we crack the polls... Need to find some balance. DR having 26 attempts is 10 carries to many... Man I know Smith was decent but it took to long to get the running game going... Man I hope verses SDSU we start out better...it is going to be a test next week...

MSU had the ball twice at the 2 yard line and didn't score. Just before halftime, 2 yard line, they call timeout and then try a fake field goal. Near the end of the game, 2 yard line, Kirk throws an int at the 2 yard line. Dantonio's game is supposed to be the power run game. You get the ball at the 2 yard line, you run it in if your game is 'power run.' You send your kids out there and tell them that if they deserve to win the game, they'll get 2 yards. All this talk about Baker as the best back in the country and other junk we hear and MSU couldn't run on saturday.

The problem is MSU needs to establish the run and when your OL is the weak spot of your team that isnt easy to do. And I will say for all the talk about how great Worthy is he wasnt really a factor yesterday. I think part of the problem is they played 2 teams that didnt put up a fight then they go into a game that is a fight from the coin flip and because they havnt been in that situation they struggle.

That's what I said when the guys calling the game wouldn't let it go. Denard needs to be able to manage a game, ball, clock while ahead and that last drive for a FG wasworth leaving him in, IMO.
