MSU vs Marquette

If anything, this team can shoot. Have to get Dawson healthy and more involved in the offense again. Not good that a Marquette team that isn't very big was able to out-rebound them.

Still, they have a chance to get a quality win now vs Kansas.

Nice to have a day off before Kansas, hopefully Dawson is closer to 100%. Last night was somewhat close but the spread was 12, we win by 11 after some 1st half foul trouble. I think this tram could be better than expected once we get ellis and bess.

Schilling has outplayed Costello in my opinion. They're both prone to getting in foul trouble though. We're going to be forced to play small quite a bit this year.

Yeah, the perimeter game looks really good (but Denzel 7 TO's last night, ouch) and will be very deep once Bess and Ellis are back. The inside depth worries me. We saw what happens last night if Costello and Schilling get in foul trouble (and both still pick up way too many dumb, touch fouls). Dawson and Clark as the 2 bigs? Costello needs to find some consistency too.

Inside depth is a huge concern, timing for the Kk dismissal was bad. If he was let go early I'd guess gauna sticks around. He wasn't much of a defensive player but was an ok pick and pop guy. It would be nice to have a 6'9 250 guy for 5 extra fouls. We could have afforded to lose Kk or gauna, not both
