Muslims Being All Peaceful Again

This is quite terrifying. And this is only for 2016.

https://www.thereligionofpeace.com/terror-2016.htm

Not all Muslims are violent, evil people. In fact, most are respectable, loving individuals. But when such a large amount of the population believes in Sharia, Honor Killings, death to apostates, gays, and atheists, the words "religion of peace" should never be associated with it. It needs to be reformed and progress how Christianity has and continues to progress.

As much shit as I give Christianity and other Christians, I've yet to have a fellow atheist accuse me of being racist against Christians or accuse me of throwing out false stereotypes to generalize them all.

wow...that is pretty sobering.

www.thereligionofpeace.com. using a sarcastic Bush-era slur to describe Islam.

sounds like an unbiased source.

"Hey look how violent these Muslims are!"

*fails to note irony of calling out 'Muslims' for being violent, while rolling through the streets of Baghdad in an M-1 Abrams, ready to shoot anything that moves*

Is it your contention that what they are reporting is fabricated?

no, just commenting on the URL, and the lack of awareness from jerks who ignore the sins of their own faith/countrymen while pointing the finger at others.

I would assume that almost everyone that posts and affiliated with a religion is some sort of christian. I can't come up with similar acts of terror based solely in the name of Christianity and the elimination of anyone that isn't a christian or share those beliefs.

Is it safe to assume you are talking about our military when you are talking about "countrymen"?

Hmm.

A group of people being judged by the actions of a few. If this was champ's 'christians behaving badly' thread Byco and KAWDUP would be right there complaining about how unfair it is to lump all Christians in with a few bad eggs, but change that word to 'Muslim' and here Byco is with his rally hat on.

Also, has the OP posted a thread lately that was not pure bigotry or racial hatred? Seriously, fucking *ohio people...

has anyone said anything about Muslims in general or blamed all Muslims for these actions?

What do you mean? Are you saying that those acts didn't happen?

And I love the comparison between Isis and a military action that was supposed to bring freedom to a people who had been oppressed by a tyrant for decades. Brilliant.

A shame we don't have a 'religion' forum for this garbage. Admin should look into that.

It's a small minority that commits murder but it's not a small minority that condones it. Sharia itself is evil, in how they treat women, gays, and people who want to leave the religion. I think all religions are crazy in some respects but this one takes the cake and it's not even close. Christianity has its faults but they don't think you should get whacked if you choose to leave the religion.

Pew. Hopefully this is non bias enough. If Christians wanted the death penalty for being gay and leaving the religion in such numbers, you would never hear the end of it from some people.

sadly monster you're spitting in the wind. this link has been posted in so many DSF threads in the last 2 years but the same handful of people still insist anyone who points out the common denominator in these horrendous attacks are bigots, islamophobes and hypocrites if they're also Christian or Jews. it seems no amount of facts and data will.sway them.

Do you really believe that's what the military action was about?

You're not that naive.

Oh, I don't know...what was the thread title again?

did you also not know that he thread title did not say "All Muslims..." and there was nothing incorrect, bigoted or generalizing about an entire religion?

Of course not, but it was the end result. Its not like we were there to kill innocent people.

I check in once in a rare while these days to remind a few of what's going on out there and see who might have reached their personal tipping point. You have not, except for *ohio people of course, so... ummm... congratulations?

It is possible to walk and chew gum at the same time. You can demonize the behavior and attitudes of millions of muslims worldwide and also understand that Christians do things that are wrong as well, but on a much, much, much smaller scale. Any outrageous acts by Christians committed in the name of the religion is an outlier at best.

Admonishing sinners is actually a corporal work of mercy and is not finger pointing. Saying "radical Islamists need to stop killing people" is not finger pointing. There are not conditions for that, save for MT 7:3, but I can safely say that my plank compared to theirs could be considered a mite smaller. But I also agree with you, too. As we decry the murder of innocents by radical Islamist groups, 3,000 babies will be slaughtered in the womb today in the U.S. as the Democratic party of this country ratchets up its efforts to preserve that "right" to exterminate life.
