National Rankings USA & Maxpreps

Week of October 1st.

National rankings.

Muskegon is still first in the state of Michigan but only 209 nationally because they play the really weak Ok Black which they have won three years. Mona shores is the only other food team in the conference. I give the Big Reds credit they played 2-3 Warren De Lasalle , and 3-2 Detroit Martin Luther King and thumped both in the non conference schedule .

I was at a playoff game in Traverse City in 1985 when we beat Muskegon in the first round of the playoffs. Went on to win the State Football Title over Troy that year.

Reeths Puffer and Jenison are both decent. R-P will likely end up 5-4 for the 3rd straight year. They'd be a playoff team in most conferences. Having 2 powerhouses like Muskegon and MS giving you 2 auto losses is tough.
 
Jenison May get to 5-4 if the beat Mona shores. Not happening they end up 4-5.

Furitport is 3-3. If the beat Puffer next week the May get to 5-4. Doubtful. I think the end up 4-5. They play puffer 3-3. Cooperville 0-6 Mona shores 5-1.
Puffer is 3-3 with fruitport , kenowa Hills and Muskegon left. Whoever wins the puffer furitport game will end up 5-4.

Union is awful they will be 0-9 by seasons end.
Kenowa hills is 2-4 with first Hills northern 1-5, puffer 3-3, jenison 2-4.
Jenison, and puffer are just ok. Just not a very tough league. I just disagree a little with you. Hopefully puffer will get in at 5-4.
 
I was pretty surprised when Furitport decided to join the ok conference back in 2016. They were much more competitive in the Lakes 8. They made the playoffs in a bunch of seasons in that conference. This will be the best season they have in the ok conference at 4 or 5 wins. I am assuming they will beat 0-6 coopersville.
