NC game, Bama vs Clemson

I guess it was lucky for MSU that the OSU game was played in high winds and rain...it took away OSU's passing game.

You can try as hard as you want, but the truth is MSU beat Oregon, Michigan, OSU, and Iowa fair and square. That's a hell of a season. Yes getting killed by Alabama sucks, but it doesn't take away from what they've done all year.

there was some good luck there, though both teams played in the same weather. I don't think that the rain hurt OSU as much as no Cook hurt our passing game though.

Also, that bad weather gives OSU a good excuse for getting dominated in the trenches. I don't think that team was built to block and tackle in the rain

I think we need to admit that every good thing that comes MSU's way is due to luck. Fumble luck, bad weather luck, blocking and tackling luck, execution luck, other team's lack of execution luck, poor game plan luck. It can't have anything to do with us lining up and beating the other team, we're 7-2 in our last 9 vs top 10 teams, all due to lucky breaks.

You're not acknowledging the fact that the OSU passing game was "lights out" all season long when it wasn't raining. You need to explicitly acknowledge that to placate the fragile egos of certain OSU fans. When you look at how well they threw the ball against everyone else, like for example...oh wait...OSU must have played in the rain A LOT...

That's more like it, although you didn't specifically acknowledge how potent the OSU passing game was, when the weather was nice. They finished the season ranked 100th in passing offense - top 100 dude!!! They threw the ball all over the yard against Rutgers and just one week before playing MSU, the almost achieved their season average in passing yards against the vaunted Illinois defense. Plus they almost beat PSU as badly as we did. With the running game ranked 11th, they clearly had real balance so, if the running game ever stumbled they were still going to beat anyone - as long as the weather wasn't too wet.
