1 Nick Perry, DE, USC

2 Jerel Worthy, DT, Michigan State

2 Casey Hayward, CB, Vanderbilt

MIN
1 Matt Kalil, OT, USC

1 Harrison Smith S, Notre Dame

3 Josh Robinson, CB, UCF

Bears - C
Reached for Shea imo eventhough i know he was being targeted by a couple teams late in rd 1. Jeffrey fills a need but not with very much talent lol. I dont know who Hardin is but there were a lot of safeties rated higher than him still on the board.

Lions - B
Reiff was monster value in RD 1 when you consider getting the 2nd best tackle at 23. Broyles is a very talented WR although we dont seem to need a #1 WR, dont really need a #2 WR and drafted our #3 WR last year with a high 2nd rd pick. I dont know why talent matter so much when he will barely see the field. Talent on the field is the idea and a guy like David, Curry and host of other names would have given you talent AND production. 3rd rd cbs....meh, i can show you 100 names that suck their entire career to every 1 that you show me that makes it and becomes a consistently good player. We can hope...

GB - B+

I like that they realized they have a great offense and they sucked on defense last year so they decided to do something about it. Something i wish the Lions would have done. As much as i applaud them for having the right idea....i cant say that i like who they actually selected. Perry could have bust written all over him....hes not very solid for being a rd 1 pick. Worthy isnt a prototypical 3-4 DE....he'll have to make the transition but could end up being their best pick. Hayward is a decent CB but he probably doesnt start for GB....so you picked a dime CB in RD 2. Gotta say thats better than picking a Nickel CB in rd 3 :D

MIN - A-

Technically they should have the best draft considering how much higher they drafted that everyone else but i have to give them props for not screwing it up. Kalil will be there to protect last years #1 for the next 10+ years. Smith and Robinson were great additions to a depleted secondary. I had Robinson mocked to us in the 2nd for a loooong time so i cant really say anything other than i love that pick in rd 3. theyre not done yet with 3 picks in the 4th and 2 in the 5th.

Bears - C+ Jeffrey is going to be good for them, but outside of that, their picks are so-so.
Pack - A- Quite honestly, very impressive draft. Only thing missing is a RB.
Queens - B+ - Also a really good 3 rounds. helped their line and really boosted the secondary.
Lions Overall Grade - C+

Lions
1 Riley Reiff, OT, Iowa - A - need and BPA

2 Ryan Broyles, WR, Oklahoma - D+ - based on lack of need rather than talent

3 Dwight Bentley, CB, Louisiana-Lafayette - B- -could be a steal, but as a 3rd round CB, not much can be expected.

I really like the aj pick for the bears.

And have loved packers pick so far.

Lions has been ok, didn't like the Wr pick though.

Good thing we can't resign anyone or sign a FA. Trades probably aren't possible either, eh. lol.

But you assume all those guys are gone. You have no idea, none, zip, nada. How many 54-51 games did we have last season? And even if this new guy is a nickle and lacy whatever, it's still better than last season even if slightly.

How many 54-51 games did we have last season...the last two...a sign of things to come
E Wright>>>> over Lacey...the D is worse

Then say 45-41 or whatever, on't just throw out a lie to get your point across because 54-51 did not happen.

Wright was king or was he not part of those imaginary 54-51 games? And apparently, 3 teams or more are interested in Inge. Means nothing. Wright sucked last season.

the 54-51 was to make a point, c'mon mitch, you know better. So we only gave up 90 pts vs. 104, my bad
There's a difference between a somewhat coveted Free Agent(E Wright) signing for good money, than B Inge(whose money is guaranteed by the Tigers) that will be a minimal cost to whoever picks him up...apples vs. oranges

I'm sure there is some stat out there that says Wright stunk. He was bad, regardless of offers. He was bad before he came to us but we got him cheap. Bad talent gets coveted all the time. Hell, Orvlosky when he left sign 3 year 10m deal. Doesn't mean he's good.

no luv for the Lions...

Losers

1. Detroit Lions: The selection of wide receiver Ryan Broyles in the second round might be great for the future, but it doesn't offer a lot for the beginning of the season. The Lions must win now. Broyles is a project because he's coming off an ACL knee reconstruction. Plus, the Lions are pretty solid at wide receiver. They are thin at cornerback, particularly with the loss of Eric Wright to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in free agency. Broyles might develop into a great slot receiver, but it's likely he will be on the physically unable to perform list until November. While the Lions might be looking for a replacement for receiver Nate Burleson, they needed a cornerback now. Their current starters are Chris Houston and former nickel corner Aaron Berry. They did take cornerback Dwight Bentley in the third round, but there is no guarantee he can make the transition into an NFL starter coming from Louisiana-Lafayette. Tackle Riley Reiff is a good first-round selection to eventually replace Jeff Backus at left tackle, but the Lions have been neglecting their secondary a little too long.

You post something from Clayton? Who in the same article thinks the Oilers are in the NFL and that both Pouncy brothers play for Pittsburgh. That guy is senile.

You know what they say, "always strengthen the strongest links in a chain. Fuck the weak links. They dont matter because the strong links eventually might become weak."
