No surprise there. Let him play everyday and get some needed experience at AAA.

I agree...let him play there and if he tears the cover off of the ball through the end of June you call him up. Other than that just let him get his 4 ABs a game.

If Dirks struggles and Castellanos tears it up, we'll see him up by June.

So what positional players are now left on the bubble? Garcia, Berry, Worth, Kelly, Russo, Kobernus, and Tuiasosopo?

Garcia (heel contusion) and Berry (patellar tendinitis) are both nursing injuries, although I have read that Berry now claims that he is feeling a bit better. Kelly has an opt-out clause so that he could "supposedly" hook on with another ballclub if he doesn't make the 25-man roster (if so, good luck with that, Donnie) Kobernus apparently has to be offered back to the Nats if he doesn't make the big club.

Would like to see Kobernus and Tuiasosopo survive the cuts, but it will probably be Worth and Jimmy's boy Donnie Kelly, if there are only two positional roster spots available.

Fister in deep doo-doo in the 4th inning today vs the Rays...shittt..just gave up a grand salami w/ 2 outs to usual Tigers killer Luke Scott..7-3 Rays, and Dougies outta there!!

Didn't help that Prince made an error earlier @ 1B and extended the inning.

How did castellanos do this spring?

Nick hit @ a fairly torrid pace for ~a couple weeks to start, then he cooled off a bit (especially when facing better pitching), until/before being sent down today (or up since the club is still in FL) to Toledo.

"In the exhibition season, Castellanos went 9-for-25 -- that?s .360. He had two doubles, a homer and six RBIs. He walked more than he struck out (six walks, four strikeouts)."

Thanks, Turok. Really haven't been able to keep up so far.

He started the spring, 6-9 (.667 BAVG), he ended 3-16 (.188 BAVG).
