Noter Dame Sucks Week!

Michigan and ND "Not a big rivalry for us" according to Kelly. Yeah right. I put ND ahead of MSU and behind OSU in terms of teams I always want to beat the most.

If Don Warner had played for Notre Dame, there would be a statue of him in front of the stadium and no one would have ever heard of Rudy.

A Spartan friend just texted me about Kelly saying Michigan isn't a big rivalry, which I'm not really flipping out about. I think they're our 3rd biggest game these days and we have only played them 40 times...so whatever. But I did look up the ND side of things.

If you sort ND's opponents by number of times played, Michigan is #8. The 7 ahead of Michigan all have losing records vs ND. Michigan has played ND more than any other team with a winning record vs ND. Of the teams with better winning percentages vs ND, nobody's played ND more than FSU's 7 matchups. Seems like it would be fair for Michigan to claim the title of "Winningest All-Time Team Against Norte Dame".

#4 in all -time wins after USC, MSU, and Purdue, in less than half the games.

I am going to copy and save this post ...this is beautiful information. I remember when the NDsucks fanbase used to spin best WP > all-time Wins before they lost that too ...

I should have said "half the games" instead of "less than half" It's less than half for Purdue and USC, but MSU has played 76 times. So we've a little past the halfway point there.

I saw that wallpaper too. I don't get it, is it a noter dame helmet?

Their golden dome and golden helmets are to them like our winged helmets are to us. To them, that should appear as it would appear to us if someone had painted maize and blue wings and stripes on an egg. Granted, wings and stripes are far more distinguishing than a solid color, but I think this gets the point across.

...just show it to a domer and see if it gets a reaction.

should this thread be stickied at the top for the rest of the next two seasons, at least?

after we're done playing them, we can un-sticky it and move on to bigger and better things.
