NU game

Schilling isnt going to get much better either. Need to get a few big recruits and use him sparingly as a reserve...

There is no reason to have a close call against this NU team.

That was an absolute must win, a loss would have been catastrophic.

3rd game in 7 days for us, NW runs a good offense with nice motion and of screens. And they nailed a ton of 3s. Good win.

The most frustrating thing to me today was our poor job of defending the screen and rolls, looked like we had never seen it before

Only if you subscribe to the theory that any win is a good win. I think the only positive is now they at least know they can win a game in OT.

They beat a team that was on fire from the three. It's not a great win, but it's better than a loss.

I think it is more they averted disaster than anything, especially with having already lost at home in conference play.

By the same token now with that out of the way, if they can got out and get a W at Maryland, that changes everything.

Agreed - a must win but not a great one. Blew double digit leads to fall behind in each half again NW. Glad we got away with it in OT, would have been a catastrophic loss.

close call, glad we escaped. we played pretty soft on d and they hit a bunch of garbage 3's late to tie the game. once factor in their favor was this was their 1st game since sunday, we had played 3 since then, getting in early friday morning. we still should have locked them down and won by double digits in regulation but not making too much of this. we have a week of practice before our next game, hopefully we can steal one @ MD

also, i'm not sure if they showed it on TV but Cook and Calhoun addressed the crowd at halftime and thanked everyone for their support and talked about their commitment to a national title next year.
