I don't think we will be winning any championships without either one...

No one thought this was a "Championship" year anyways. But they have some work to do. Thankfully the other teams are playing us to our level, and allowing us to beat them.

The "rushing" yards tore up his achilles tendon, and I am on the fence as far as whether or not I want to see him play next season, esp. IF Leshoure is not going to be anywhere near the rusher that he would have been, prior to becoming injured.

As anyone ever came back from a blown Achilles?

Dunno about that, esp. for the position that he plays, but there is always a first time or at least an attempt, I suppose.

I hope the young guy does, but I am very doubtful he will be a big time back now.

There is rumblings that the Browns are dangling Hillis out there on the market considering the troubles they have had with him over the last few weeks. No idea the cost but at least would give us a capable inside the tackles type runner this season.

tell you right now cleveland's gonna want the world for hillis with a pick thrown in initially......but if they get desperate enough they'll come down from that a bit. it's an idea.....don't know about his attitude though, still very unrealistic for us.

A power back will struggle out of the shotgun. This offense is not ideal for leshoure or hillis.

Maybe if the Lions' braintrust decides to finally "leshoure" up the OL through trades and/or draft pick(s) then they won't need to operate out of the shotgun as often next season, and maybe even less the season after that, since they obviously will need to groom a new center eventually, to replace Raiholda.

One would hope though IF we had that power type back we would see more I-Formation plays and take advantage of some play action.

Curtis Martin I think did it?

Actually Curtis Martin did. He tore his Achilles in college.

Sophmore year....thought he was talking NFL , and just remembered Martin retired because of knee issues.

Maybe...idk. All i know is that injury is at least a 2 year injury. They could be drafting RB fairly early again next year. All depends on how fast of a healer Leshoure is, right?

I'd rather they work on getting O-linemen that can actually run block so they can put Joe Scrub back there and still have an effective rushing game.
