After watching all the highlights and commentary on MLB network for what started with a hard slide into second by Brett Lawrie I think Kansas City was a little over reactionary to it all, Eric Byrnes had some great comments on it all and even collected a series of clips from the 80's on some of the hard slides into second back then and how what lawrie did was nothing and not overly egregious at all, unfortuntley Escobar was hurt on the play but it was far from intentional or overly aggressive, he was just trying to break up a double play which it what your taught to do..
Anyone else feel the same or see it otherwise..I'm not a fan of lawrie either just calling it how I see it, Kansas City took this too far imo
