We did have an Iraqi War declaration, voted on by both the house and senate.....Safe to say a vast majority of the country were in favor of the decision.

So wait, the total of the Congress plus the President = a vast majority of the country?

weve been in that position for 40 years with natural gas which is cheaper, cleaner and vastly abundant in the us. We just chose not to use it because oil companies rule the world....duh.

Hydrogen fuel cells are not an energy source, it is a way to turn hydrogen and oxygen into electricity. You can create hydrogen and oxygen from water, but you need electricity to do it. The energy still has to come from somewhere.

Yes, I understand how it works.

But I believe there were several safety issues attributed to both the cells and the storage batteries.

68% of voters said the economy was the #1 reason they showed up to vote in 2010 mid terms.

I was pointing out how stupid it is to say a majority of the country supports something just because the House and Senate passed it, and used Obamacare as an example, I never argued whether or not they actually did, just your basis for saying they did.

That wasn't refuting your point. It supports your challenge to the technology. Whether or not the safety issue can be worked out, it isn't something to compare to natural gas, which is a fuel source. It cannot replace oil or gas or solar or anything, it requires one of those things.

Not that I'm against it; batteries suck, and it could replace batteries if the bugs were worked out.

I still believe your congressman listens to their constituents. Obviously you don't. There wasn't any uproar from the side opposed to the war and the vote was something like over 70% in favor. That's huge...Unlike Obamacare, even though passed, the people showed up to town halls and voiced the opinion against it prior to the vote. The people who didn't listen were voted out.
