OFFICIAL: Draft Day (Day One-Three)

I saw a grade of 30? Maybe they drafted the wrong guy or Millen made a pick.

Yes we still have the other 5. Not a bad deal if the kid makes the team.

im would hope to get a potential starter out of a 4th round pick...especially a future 4th round pick. I dont see that kid starting over levy or durant. And if you like Ronnel Lewis out of OK enough to draft him the prior round...then i dont see him starting over him either. i dont like the idea of tradinf a future 4th rounder for a back up LB/ST guy. You can get those off the waiver wire every week.

Maybe you don't understand,, a 4th next year is not the same as a 4th this year.

maybe you dont understand....a 5th this year isnt a 4th next year. a 4th next year could be a potential starter....this guy was picked in the 5th and is not a potential starter. i thought i explained that pretty clearly :D

who knows...maybe they have no plans to keep durant or levy and want to get guys accustomed to the system now.

3rd in 5th, you figure 23-25 4th..so maybe 10 pick difference. But, we get a guy this season, why they have to wait.. maybe that makes no sense but that's why SF got a 3rd next year for this years 4th..

So you're saying 3rd pick in 5th can't be a starter but a late 4th can?

ya its standard to gain a full round when you get a future pick.....but for me theres a big difference when you go from a 4th rd pick to a 5th rd pick and what made it more odd was that we picked the same position we picked the rd prior. If youre sacrificing a future 4th id like to think it be on someone who is going to play. Looking at the depth chart it doesnt seem like this guy will play.

A late 4 and a early 5, it's like 10 picks. That's not much..

Just like last year when Denver took those two safeties late....

a draft pick next year is valued one round less in the current draft, ie. 4th rounder in 2013 is a 5th rounder in 2012
