OFFICIAL: Draft Day (Day One-Three)

Yea Broyles will be the 4th this year, well 3rd once CJ gets hurt (thanks Madden). Then next year they will cut Burleson and play Broyles at the slot. Seriously looking ahead after a year of developing of Titus and Broyles....:)

the lions have already made it known..when they make decisions and draft..they don't do it based on just one year..they think about years ahead.......and another example of a team who drafts BPA..i remember a few years back..the packers need o-line and defense..and they drafted..brian brohm and jordy nelson lol...

one..suh and stafford are all we can really look at in the first..two players that were super high....and look at the article from freep from yesterday about when greenwood was projected..and you'll see that it was right where we nabbed him..so what's to bitch about?
and pettigrew and delmas ....

check any site that has anything to do with the lions and youll see an article about detroits controversial draft. ESPN has one on their main draft page, NFL network has one....its not like the board is just bitching cause were miserable people lol....its justified.

We ran the 2nd most 3 wide sets last year. And you have to sub during the game a lot. This guy will get plenty of playing time, plus he may be able to play as a KR/PR

burlesons getting old..i hardly remember him playing in some games..the lions playmakers outside of calvin didn't show up when we faced teams who started bracketing us around the san fransisco part of our schedule..

People just mad that we drafted a good player? Yes he isnt a CB. Have to ask yourself if you would rather have a mediocre CB or a real good WR

Experts are wrong as they are right. This is how it goes GM/Coach/Scouting>>Kiper/Mcshay/etc.>>us.

I wanted Konz, Curry or David in the 2nd once they all fell. Most people that were watching on here werent talking CB by the time we were up to draft.

our draft is always controversial..every single year..

I feel good about greenwood. Finding those kinds of gems in late rounds from unknown places is how the Wings found many star players for years. Seems the type to put in the extra effort and push himself to top tier level.

I like the Greenwood pick.

I still wish we had taken Konz, but if Broyles heals, I doubt any of us will be bitching in three years.

One day we will find a late pick, 5th or later - that is a stud. Maybe Greenwood is that guy. Can't tech speed or size or jumping ability.

i have no problem with a WR who has upside as a pass catcher and a returner..if you want a good passing offense year in and year out you need depth at that position..we are extremely lucky not to have any long term injuries for the most part to calvin, burleson or young, over the past few years....because the guys sitting on the bench behind them the few games they did play were non existant...i remember when we had to use scheffler in the slot and even out wide! because no WR was good enough to even make a catch or two when burleson went down in 2010 lol

Well it sure beats the guys we had 3, 4 years ago. We had Calvin and nothing else.
