So that gimp cris carter again came out this morning and said calvin wasn't an elite receiver and said he was at most the 5th best in the game or some shit... so our boy Matt backed up his favorite target today on twitter

@Staff_9 Does anyone think 8 tds in 4 weeks will change chris carters mind about an "elite" receiver? #megatron

LOVE IT... basically guaranteeing he's gonna pass to him another 2 td's next week

He said it again? Wtf is wrong with him? Cris carter was a decent receiver and an all time great in the red zone, but he clearly is wrong here. CJ might not be the best right now, but he's close.
 
What a douche, just that 40 yard catch alone was a feat that a lot of receivers wouldn't have accomplished. That being said it does sound like Cocaine Cris is leaving the door open for Megatron to enter elite status soon.
 
Not sure what else Calvin has to do? When I think of the top 20 greatest WR's I don't see Chris carter in that top 20. He never won a ring, and was a huge part of the Vikings teams that choked in the playoffs year after year.
 
Only thing calvin has against him this year is lack of receptions and yards. But you can put that on the chiefs game. He was injured and didnt really need to go all out in that game.
 
FUCK Cris Carter. CJ is Cris Carter's favorite receiver's (Andre Johnson) favorite receiver, and that's fine with me.

I will say this about elite WR's: They don't have to win a ring to be considered in the top 20.

While many of them contributed and helped win a ring... no one knows for sure if Calvin will ever get a ring. While we would like to think we're 2-3 years away... who really knows? Would NOT winning a ring make Calvin not in the top 20?

CC, who would rank in my own personal top 15 of all time, probably top 10 if I wasn't drunk and wanted to look it up, was a GREAT receiver. He TORCHED offenses in the 90's. Why else would he be even be considered credible? I'm not saying he's right about CJ... but he wasn't responsible for the Vikings collapses in the playoffs.
 
There's too many great players who never won a ring. Doesn't mean a thing. As far as top receivers, there are a hst of good ones that played this game.
 
I think we've just found out the identity of Chica, the guy who says Justin Verlander isn't an ace. So now when CJ continues to dominate, Christa Carter can just say, "Oh, well, he's elevated his game, and is now an elite receiver."
 
Only an "elite" receiver would be able to put up the kind of numbers CJ has getting the ball from guys like Shaun Hill, Drew Stanton, Dan Orlovsky, Daunte Culpepper, and Jon Kitna...all the while getting double sometimes triple teamed. It's obvious some people have rocks between their ears.

BTW, Orlovsky just signed with the Colts. Boy are they in deep doodoo...
