OT: Curry on trading block

I think we should trade for him just so the bears don't get him. IDK, I have a hard time believing he is such a bust. The kid was uber talented, maybe its just another player that doesn't fit in Carroll's systems. Weird

Mayhew should use his magic again and throw a 5th round pick at the seahawks.

They've done well getting former R1 guys to play 2nd string at worst and stepping up to start as injuries necessitate. I see no issue with tossing something out and seeing if it sticks.

Fox's boy was Andre Smith if i am correct and he has been told he wont be back after this year either. I would be OK with trading for him especially with Durant having injury issues. I could also see the Eagles being interested because their LBers are a mess. They drafted Casey Mathews and he has flopped so far at both OLB and ILB.

mayhew's motto is take young "busted" players from dysfunctional organizations.......or change in systems/didn't fit scheme type players...if mayhew and schwartz think he fits better then go nab em

they never told Smith he wouldn't be back , in fact he's signed for 2012....they just voided the final 2 years of the deal in which he was to make bigger money.

Danny Diggler[/color]]Who on this board was on the Curry train?

I really liked him coming out, If we didn't have the #1 overall pick i would of had no problem taking him.

Same here.

I'd be interested in exploring a trade. What lb spot does he play? As long as it is not MLB we should think about it.

The Seahawks have a wonderful tradition of misusing first round picks. if we can get him for a fifth, he'd be worth looking at.

I wouldn't either... but as a depth player and giving him time to develop?

I would in a heartbeat.

I would take him over Levy. He has not been playing well at all. Hes back to missing all kinds of tackles.

I'm very happy with where we are at LB'er so I really don't care what happens (although I think theres a decent chance he turns his career around outside of Seattle). One thing to watch though is that Mayhew and Schwartz absolutely loved him coming out and this has been exactly the type of projects they've looked for over the past few years. Assuming he comes pretty cheap(5-6th round pick), and hes okay being a role player hes omeone they might be interested in. If not maybe after the seasons once he hits FA they could give hima serious look.

He's a 3-4. Who cares if we can grab him for a late round pick, former first round garbage. He doesn't play the system so he'd be useless.

Aaron Curry - LB - Seahawks Beat writer Steve Reed hears the Panthers "might be interested" in Seahawks OLB Aaron Curry.
The Panthers have been decimated by injuries to their linebackers and Curry has been demoted out of the starting lineup in Seattle. The 2009 No. 4 overall pick could likely be had cheaply ahead of the October 18 trade deadline. Related: PanthersSource: Steve Reed on Twitter Oct 4 - 8:47 AMPlayer Outlook
