OT: Curry on trading block

I personally still like Curry quite a bit. I do not think that Seattle has used him right at all. They have him dropping back into coverage all the time! This is a guy who has the size and speed to help in coverage but should be used to put pressure on the QB and play the run on the way to the QB in my mind. I really doubt Detroit will try to make a move for him with our LB depth this year but I do not want to see him go to the Packers or Bears at all! I think he can still be a very disruptive player and would like to see him do well, but not for another NFC North team!

Curry still has a chance to contribute to an NFL defense, but his best days might already be behind him and he'll never be a difference maker on a regular basis. It's nice to see another guy we didn't pick not turn out.

traded to Oakland.

Sources on Raiders & SEA tell me they've agreed to a trade sending
Aaron Curry, 4th pick in 09 draft, to OAK for pick this yr, 1 next yr.

Raiders acquired OLB Aaron Curry from the Seahawks in exchange for a seventh-round pick in 2012 and a conditional mid-round pick in 2013.
The Raiders haven't scrapped their philosophy of trying to rehabilitate former first-round busts in the post-Al Davis era. Curry, the No. 4 overall pick in the 2009 draft, flamed out in Seattle because he lacked instincts to diagnose run plays and was a zero in pass coverage. Raiders MLB Rolando McClain suffered a potentially serious ankle injury in Week 6, and Curry could be viewed as insurance behind likely replacement starter Darryl Blackstock.

wow. robbery.

Robbery? He hasn't done a thing. If the pick in 2013 is based on his play, Oakland will keep that pick.

The Raiders have 2 picks left in 2012 I think lol. Its a good risk for them if he pans out though.

Curry might shine in Oakland!!!
