wow.. not sure what else to say.. even though we all rip on him drafting.. it seemed he finally had a pretty solid team going... sad to see him go

Tells me nothing. Plus I don't see it reported anywhere else.

It literally says it in big bold block letters ... i don't think it's been reported anywhere else yet.. seems like it JUST happened

That's interesting hank...seems legit, but odd that no other outlet has picked it up...

It's shocking that he has passed. Then again he has looked near death for a decade. That last pic of him during the press conference last year was scary. RIP Al. He was colorful to say the least.

I don't think he's really dead. You can't kill the crypt keeper can you?

RIP Mr. Davis...whenever I hear or read something about his franchise in the news, I always remember their SB championship team, and their long-ago ex-WR Fred Beletnikoff, who had that sticky yellow goo all over his gloved hands... I suppose that the opposing CBs who had to defend/cover him weren't too fond of getting that crap on themselves as well as the refs/QBs who likely had to sometimes clean off the football after he caught it...heh!!

:-/

Just found out this morning, that the never-married guy below me who was a huge Oakland/LA Raiders fan and who had a pretty sizable collection of team souvenirs, in my condo complex died yesterday after a long illness, he hadn't been home since the beginning of July, and I never found out what hospital that he was in, he had few relatives, and his only sister was a real bitch, she wouldn't tell me what was up with him, or where he was, when she came by with his aid-sponsored PT housekeeper, and they cleaned up his place less than a month ago. He had recently turned 61, and he left behind his now-orphaned 12 year old only son, and his son's two step-brothers, the poor kid's crack-addicted mom committed suicide by hanging herself in her parents garage, when he was only 5 years old.

:(

Kinda creepy to go down the stairs and then past his darkened front door at night, (and another nearby neighbor who I never met died inside his and his wife's condo recently during the month of June). I had been indirectly using his broadband internet though a WiFi router that I set-up in exchange for maintaining/fixing his desktop computer and son's laptop, but the power to his condo got shutoff over a month ago, so I had to hack and then crack into someone else's encrypted WiFi signal, one of some that are strong enough to do it nearby me.

No services apparently will be held, and he will likely be cremated, as he was poor, his mother had purchased the condo for them, while he was living on SSI and Medicare for many years.

Just too much death lately, as my cousin who was only a year older than me died several months ago as well. My wife keeps talking about death coming in threes, she is still pretty freaked out right now by our neighbor dying, even though I keep telling her that we knew that he had become very ill, and that he was only getting worse.

Well I don't look for the raiders to completely muck it up in the future.....

RIP

imagine how good that team would be right now if they drafted well the last couple years. RIP
