Did your Detroit association influence your decision?

Personally I like the fact that they did not accept bailout money, and quality has gone up significantly in the last few years.

Looking at the Edge or Flex as a family car. Any thoughts?

I had a Taurus many years ago. I'm a GM guy, always owned one -- less the pre mentioned Taurus.

Silverado FTW.

I had a '77 LTD. Mint fuckin' green with an Incredible Hulk green vinyl top. Pretty sick, but now I drive a Jag (before Ford took 'em over)

I have an 08 Limited Expedition but I will not buy another Ford, Chrystler or GM. Their customer service is complete shit...they don't give a fuck about you once you leave that showroom floor.

Plan on going Mercedes, BMW, Audi or Volvo once I get a little more out of my gas hog!!!

Yeah like those companies care more, lol.

All 4 of my cars have been Ford. 91 escort first car 96 T-bird SC 2nd car 2000 focus zx3 third car and i currently drive a 09 F-150

00' metallic blue mustang. I think the lions logo is close to a perfect match in color.

They may not "care more" but their customer service is head and shoulders above Ford's, with the resale value of their products being much higher as well.

I have owned Fords my whole life. I bought my wife a new 2009 escape hybrid a couple of years ago she loves it. I work at the F-150 plant in Dearborn, Schwartz, Stafford, Pettigrew, and Delmas where there the year they got drafted signing autographs.

We rented an Edge Limited and drove from Miami to Tampa. When we got back to MI, we went shopping for an Edge. Love the vehicle. Saying that, we didn't buy one b/c Ford cars break around 30,000 miles typically. So we bought a Honda Crosstour and love it. It's the car my wife drives.

Really, Fords are pretty reliable now a days, and all my mid 90's Escorts have gone well over 100,000 miles. My current 1995 Escort has 230,000 miles with minor things needing fixed like exhaust, shocks, timing belt.

Ford only took $15 billion, no big deal. They are worse than the other two IMO for accepting all of the praise. At least GM and Chrysler didn't pretend to be something that they weren't.

Maybe when Ford shuts down their plant in India I will start buying their cars. I have no loyalty to the American auto companies, just like they have no loyalty to America or Michigan. Give me the best car for the best price. That is how I will be purchasing vehicles from now on. If that is ever a Ford (highly unlikely) then I will buy a Ford.

Silverado FTW.

The company I work for has about 25 Silverados from 2009-2011 and they are the worst trucks I have ever driven. They are constantly going in the shop for repairs for stupid shit. Sure, some of it could be attributed to some guys driving like shit, and from rough use, but the F-150's used at the previous company I worked for never had problems as often as the Silverados. Personally, I would take a Toyota over any truck though.

I'm on my 3rd Silverado. All have been good rides with no problems. Each is own I guess.
