Peter Jackson's restored WWI film driven movie

That trailer gives me goosebumps..I've seen footage on WW2, Korea, and Vietnam but no WW1, aka the big one.

It's a special engagement thing. Showing on the 17th and 27th. Tickets are $20. You can find it on Fathom Events.

I rented it out last night and it was pretty amazing what they have done to restore the footage from this era. Fantastic stuff. Wish there was more.

I think there is more. While only a couple hours got the full treatment with audio and everything, I thought they said that they ran their computational clean up routines on a few hundred hours of footage.

I believe that is correct.

I watched the 30 minute special feature and Jackson said he concentrated on the British because his Grandfather was in WWl . I sure hope guys are right. Btw his Grandfather only lived from 1890-1940. His war wounds were the cause of his death according to Jackson.
