On his radio show, Petros & Money, with his on air partner Matt "Money" Smith.

Money called the pick stupid, or crazy, or something.

Screw him.

The show is nationally syndicated, I think it's on in Detroit, 1310 AM I think.

Petros (and Money) are awesome and "P" is actually pretty good with his analysis.

And I believe today is a .... We Will Not Be Defeated Wednesday, a Walk Your Bike Wednesday!!

This is from the 1130 Website.

"7:00pm-10:00pm: Petros & Money
Petros Papadakis and Matt "Money" Smith are the future of sports talk radio. The trunk of their tree is sports, while the branches are everything men. They are the eclectic new sound of the sports/entertainment/ guy radio format."

Vic listens to them, and The Loose Cannons with Pat O'Brien. The Cannons are on 1130 for one hour before Petros and Money.

I certainly don't think it would require much of a stretch of the imagination to see us win.

I don't buy the SEC hype that every SEC player is somehow a superman compared to the rest of college football; they're all being recruited out of the same pool of talent. I DO think the SEC is a lot dirtier than the rest of CFB though; that's just the way the southern man works. He has a different set of values and morals than the rest of the nation and always has.

anyways, the odds should be more or less 50/50 for this one, this early in the season, and against a team with a QB like we have, who is a huge x-factor. Bama is going to have a harder time preparing for our offense than we will theirs.

I just hope we have two things:

1. Decent crowd support and noise, and

2. our defense is at least as tough as they were at the end of LY.

Michigan might have a pretty good turnout; although obviously it's easier for 'Bama fans in the south to get there than Michigan fans in the midwest/Great Lakes region.

But there are Michigan people all over the place, living in Texas, the south, etc...so hopefully a lot of them got tickets.

Man! Someone predicting Michigan over 'Bama? Prepare for Sparties and 'Nuts to have their panties in bunches.

If there was ever a time for Michigan to upset Bama, it would be week 1. Teams have not seen game speed, and have no idea what to expect from the other side. My gut tells me that Bama is going to pull this one out, but not the way everyone says. Media members are saying Bama by at least 2 tds. This one will come down to the wire. Hopefully Michigan proves me wrong, I'm just worried that the talent difference is just big enough.

Hell, I have come home and found my wife (MY WIFE!) listening to Petros and Money using the IHeartRadio App and my buddy who grew up in PV played Pop Warner for Petros' dad and with P's older brother.

And see my other thread on the SEC -- great article.

I will be in Dallas and screaming my face off and talking smack and will try not to get arrested or beaten up, but I expect the crowd to be 60/40 Bama or thereabouts.

I would say Bama should be the heavy favorite..I'm hoping for a UM win.

Put it this way, a Bama blowout of UM would surprise me substantially less than the other way around. Hopefully UM's interior line holds up on both sides of the ball.

Were gonna shock the world! For real tho, I don't think anyone could possibly anticipates how good our defense will be. There is just sooo much ridding on it for us. Alabama will get complacent and unless they have someone to fill in trent richardson's shoes, their offense was horrible last year when playing good defenses.. Im just ready to see what our offense can do and how the team as a whole will do.

I agree and would probably take the "under" in Vegas. The Bama D is their strength as is the UM O. I expect a game not unlike the Sugar Bowl where the offenses are more or less held in check and that there will be some classic Week #1 surprises --- a turnover, special teams play or broken play that makes the difference.

i was thinking of the Sugar Bowl too... with hopefully better blocking from the OL (i.e. our starting center isn't hurt 5 minutes before kickoff) and better passing from Denard.

and hopefully... we don't consistently give up 10+ yard plays on 3rd down.

I think Blake Countess is going to make a name for himself nationally in week 1 ...just my gut.

I like that statement, definately think we may have another breakout player this year besides fitz, blake, denard, kovacks, roh, lol how about justice hayes returning kicks or jehu chesson making unbelievable catches

Not sure how important ST plays into this, but typically that can be the element that tilts the scales. I like our ST play under Hoke, far better than it was under RR. Based on the inability of Bama to kick FGs vs LSU, I think UM wins the ST battle. If it is a close game, that could very well prove the difference.

uh... remember when you had visions of Denard "running wild" or whatever against VaTech?

Please... as a fellow Michigan fan, I BEG YOU, do not make any such predictions this season.

If it comes down to turnovers I don't like our chances.
