Piston podcast about trades

They talk about the Pistons getting Bradley Beal. It would take a boatload off picks and players to get Beal. The real issue getting Beal is that to make the money work Jackson has to be dealt. That leaves the Pistons real then at starting point guard. They do talking about the improvement Bruce Brown is making. Can he be the point guard?

Bradley Beal seems like such a pipe dream kind of move. There are much better situated teams with better assets to offer. Beal is 25, just entering his prime, and a legitimate star. His max cap number is 10 million less than the supermaxes on older players. We would have to give up some ludicrous picks (all pushed into the future to when our best players have left), and even then probably couldn't outbit other teams. And realistically, he wouldn't make us a contender (as opposed to the Clippers deal for Paul where they now are).

Don't get me wrong. I want this team to be better, interesting at all to watch. But I wouldn't be willing to sell 6 years of picks to do it. A move like that would make me think the team isn't going to contend for another decade.

I agree I'd never give away that many picks. Hopefully he will cost less. 3 or 2 picks I can live with if they are spread out. We are not picking in the top 5 anytime soon again and the east is Winnable if we can just get some luck.
