I'm so conflicted with this team. With Josh Smith cut, they're like a different team. But it's most likely too late for a real playoff push. SVG is clearly not in the mood to tank, might as well pull for a win from here on out.

I would still like to see them tank. They have no realistic chance at going anywhere even if they somehow made the playoffs, so what's the point? The NBA playoffs are the least susceptible to major upsets it seems.

I've said this for forever, what is the point of making playoffs as an 8 seed in the NBA, especially with this team? Not only do you miss a lottery pick, but you have about a 0.1% chance of even winning the opening series. Unless you're a serious title threat, it's pointless to make playoffs.

They were well on their way to proper tanking protocol until they released Smooth.

Now they actually look like a real basketball team.

Maybe I have too much faith in SVG... Thought for sure he'd tank so he could start building the team with his players but if he can win with this group then maybe we aren't as far away as we thought. Guess we'll see how this season plays out.

You don't learn to win by losing. It won't be like they draft enough players then suddenly DECIDE to win now. The reason you try your best is reasons like losing Monroe after this year. No one wants to be on a dumpster fire.

This team has sucked for 5-6 years now, it's time to start trying to build a winning culture.

Sooooo glad they got that of that POS Smith, I knew this team would start playing much better with him gone.

i'm not saying the roster is good but one thing for certain is they are playing much better team basketball, the team morale is completely different. A playoff push is absolutely not out of the question, they are only 4.5 games back right now.
