Can you name a few from each?

I say Rush Limbaugh for the Republicans and Jesse Jackson for the Democrats

Lets see....Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, Ann Coulter, Donald Trump, Elizabeth Hasselbeck, The entire Tea Party, the vast majority of the GOP, etc.

(Amongst others) Grover Norquist, Jonathan Garthwaite, Michelle Malkin, Rev. Doug & his daughter Hannah Giles, (((shudder)))Star Parker, Jonah Goldberg, Michael Savage, David Limbaugh, Dennis Prager, Michele Bachmann, Sarah Palin, Sharron Angle, Ted Nugent, Kid Rock, Clint Eastwood, annd Faux Noise et. al.

I'd add ed schultz to that. I think his heart is in the right place, but he comes up with these idiotic theories and polls that make me shake my head. "Does the Republican party care about the poor?" Yes 99% No 1% - I mean, come on! Most of MSNBC's viewers are liberals, the rest are conservatives that just want something to complain about.

Probably Al Sharpton, too. I can't listen to him for more than 5 minutes at a time. Everything is about race for him and half the time he sounds less educated than those guys on "Moonshiners".

Finally, I think you have to add the RNC guy, Rance Priebus??? Not sure on spelling.

Ed Schultz is a POS.

I think he was actually a right-wing radio talker until two election cycles ago. he figured the market was too saturated, and switched.

Became a dem in 2000.

There have been several iterations of this thread over the course of time. I'm trying to think if there's anyone new.

rush limbaugh as a pompus ass adn makes all republicans look bad and same for jesse with the dems

I was thinking the same thing.

while I cant hate on sharpton too much (due to his longtime ties to James brown who I am listening to right now) he is def a left wing blow hard. when he took the MSNBC gig he announced he would never criticise the president, which is irreconcilable with any pretense of journalism.

Grover Norquist

Is it possible you're confusing Jesse Jackson for Rev. Al Sharpton?

Like Jesse Jackson, Grover Nordquist is more a political activist. Everybody else mentioned is pretty much just a blow hard commentator.

Nordquist is actually a lot more pragmatic than he wants people to think.

I predicted that when the Bush tax cuts expired, Nordquist would come out and say "well, no Republican actually voted for a tax increase; they just went up as they were scheduled to under the existing law."

Which he did.

And he added "Republicans locked in permanent tax cuts for 98% of the American people."

Which is pretty much what Obama's plan had been all along.

Some people called him out for being a flip flopper - but that's what I would have done, if I had been in his position.

I didn't know much about Sharpton the day I learned he was a d-bag. I was driving with the radio on and heard an ad where he recommended LoanMax. Either he's a moron of the highest order or a total d-bag beyond redemption.

he's shamelessly for sale.

I don't know where this puts him on the blow-hard rankings though... while Rush Limbaugh is clearly king, running away with the title, Sharpton is up there. Maybe you can slot him in company with Glenn Beck (who pushes those sleazy gold investments), and some of the other hacks on Fox News.

as far as the worst blowhard on the left, you have to give the edge to Sharpton now, though Ed Schultz is gaining with his hypocritical stance on unionism, posing with the unions in Wisconsin, yet silently opposing the efforts of MSNBC employees to unionize.

You could say both Beck and Sharpton profit advertising a product that hurts the people they purport to help, but I think it's more evil in Sharpton's case. People that buy gold at ripoff prices are probably in a better position to absorb the loss. They're more likely to be parting with money they have, not getting stuck in a high interest debtor's situation. But worse is Sharpton's abuse of the trust in the civil rights leaders' legacy he aligns himself with. "I'm like Jesse Jackson, I show up at the same events and say similar things on camera, and he worked for Dr. MLK Jr. Take this LoanMax loan at 1600% interest."

I googled it. Actual quote from the ad: "When I'm out fighting for the little guy and I need quick cash, I find comfort in knowing that LoanMax is here for me." They did title loans. Half the value of your vehicle, 30% interest every month.

Edit:But, that's different from being a blowhard. Limbaugh is king, I agree.
