Power Ranking starting to Roll in...

Too much hype for beating 2 teams that may not do very well this year

This isn't a top 5 team yet

Over hyped, haven't even played a team playing their best. Weeks 4 & 5 should give us an idea of how good we really are.

Can't control who you play. Based on the first two games, I don't see any reason why you can't put them in the top 5. Based on the games i've seen, I haven't seen too many teams that look better than them.

Cowherd was saying this morning that the Lions could win the Super Bowl. His argument: Take the team name away and look at numbers and roster. He had a compelling case. He was drunk on Kool-Aid.

That being said, I don't consider us SB contenders...

I hate Cowherd..he doesn't deserve the right to jump on the Lions bandwagon.

Only two games in...but 2nd in points scored and 2nd lowest points allowed. They'd BETTER be high up there...

watching this giants v rams game I can say with complete confidence the lions are in another level than either of these teams.

top 5 team might be a stretch but it also might not be too far off.

You can't control who you play but you also can't ignore it, I'd put them at 8.

I have believed all offseason that if we can avoid they key injury we have a real good shot at the playoffs. I think we are maybe top 10 but I do think we can compete with anyone.

we have just as an explosive offense as any team in the nfl..and our defense is better than teams like houston, atlanta, and new orleans...at least in my opinion..

You could put us anywhere from #10 to#4 and i wouldn't complain or be surprised. With the ESPN rankings i would put us ahead of Chicago.

Interesting we are:

#2 in Scoring Offense
#2 in Scoring Defense

Maybe we should be #1 Overall :)

what is the deal with the Houston love? I get it and all. Hired Wade Phillips, signed Joseph, went to a 3-4, getting a ton of QB pressure now, all coming together, etc. But what have they done that the Lions haven't? Both team's bandwagons are getting too big to handle. Is it the fact their division is a sham now? Can you base your ranking off the fact they get a free ride to their division crown while we have to go through Green Bay and Chicago? If you're good you're good regardless of the competition.

Oh well. 3-0. This be record breaking season. No win since 97? No problem.
