Team is going to be loaded next year again and this offense is going to be great again. Defense needs to make some adjustments, but should be good again.

I'm thinking 8 or 9 to start the year with a chance for a big win early hosting Oregon in game 2.

The B1G Title will come down to the Ohio State- MSU game again.

9/12 MSU vs Oregon in EL, most likely under the lights. Already have the hotel booked.

Can't wait for next year

I assume Cox moves to corner permanently, hopefully someone emerges like Vayante Copeland or someone else

If reports are true and Wayne's leaves the defense is in a world of trouble.

I really don't see Waynes as the top CB if he enters the draft like many of the "experts" are saying. He's got talent for sure, but I just don't think he's physical enough yet.

That being said, if he gets his info back that he's a lock 1st rounder I wouldn't blame him for leaving.

One thing is certain. Doesn't matter who the corners are if the safeties aren't better next year.

Well we know one safety spot will be locked up by Mante Nicholson for the next three years. Who gets the other?

RJ Williamson.

Corner is the only concern, but it's a big one, we need to develop another lock down corner. Vayante Copeland is the name people have been talking about off the practice squad, kid has all the tools to be great. Still think Hicks can be very good, but he needs to get quicker and stronger. He was decent for half the year though. Cox is an elite athlete with great size for a corner, but I'm not sure he's quick enough.

I think we'll tweak the defense a little to be more flexible against spread teams. Front 7 should be dominant again though.

O line is going to be the best we've ever had. Cook has plenty of weapons around him and Madre London is going to be a total beast.

I'm sure Williamson will be in the mix. Then there's always guys that get switched to other positions going into spring ball.

Tompkins getting moved back to RB wouldn't shock me a bit either.

Rumor has it Shilique Calhoun told some people after the game that he is returning. Our front 7 is just going to be insane next season if he does. Calhoun, Heath/Knox, McDowell, Thomas along the line and Davis, Bullough, and Harris at LBs. If the DBs go Williamson, Nicholson, Cox, and Hicks, my word. That would be by far the most athletic defense I have ever seen at MSU. Freak athletes all over the field.

Johnny I know Madre London is really good, but do you really think he will get the nod over Williams? I'm a fan of bigger size backs.

London is a beast at 6-1, 215 lbs and runs a 10.7 100 meters. He's an animal and one of the strongest freshmen RB we've had here. He carved up our #1 defense on the scout team all season and the coaches left it up to him whether to red shirt or not because he was certainly good enough to play. Williams will be a good change of pace back, but I would be surprised if London didn't win the job.

LJ Scott will get carries too.

Rico bears just said on rivals that 2 of the 3 are returning

Trae Waynes has declared for the NFL draft, should be a top 15-20 pick. Great for him, another two star recruit turned into an NFL player by this staff.

We lose lippett and Langford two of the 3 biggest playmakers. and Jackson and Kruse on the line. They should be good and you're probably right that they'll be top 10 preseason but let's be honest - they're not going to look any better at least on paper than the team that got the shit kicked out of them by an OSU team that will be returning just about everyone.

In the last 13 months Michigan State has beaten 3 top 5 teams on neutral fields. Let that sink in for a minute.

For comparison you have to go back to 2000 to find Michigan's last 3 wins vs top 5 teams and for Notre Dame it's 1993.

We also beat #4 Wisconsin in 2011 at Spartan Stadium.

Corners and running backs should always go pro if they get first round grades. Careers are too short at those positions, with a few exceptions.

I agree we should be top 10 to start the year. Get that one at home vs Oregon and they'll move up quickly too.
