Semifinal game one .
Defending champions 19-7 Detroit Edison leads 26-0 Iron Mountain at halftime.
20-19. Edison is controlling the boards right now. Man they long and big. Iron Mountain out scored Edison 22-14 in the third and lead the defending champions 41-34 at the end of three. Heck both teams have very few seniors. Look for Edison to Press. First upset of the day. Edison cut lead to one in the fourth but behind super Sophomore Foster Wonder And #14 Iron Mountain holds on and beats defending champions Detroit Edison 60-57.
They improve to 27-0.

Up next.
Game two 23-2 Erie-Mason vs 26-0 Pewamo-Westphalia.

PW was up 19-2 to start the game. Amazing EM had a chance to tie and or take the lead in the second quarter.
Pw is up 28-22 at halftime. Winner plays 27-0 Iron Mountain in the championship game Saturday. End of the third PW is leading 42-35. One kid for Erie Mason jr Joe Liedel with 5:24 left had 29 of EM's 40 points. They trail 48-40. He ends up with
A total of 31 points . Pw pulls away in the fourth and wins
60-45.

Championship game Division 3 . Saturday March 16th 12:00 Noon.
I may get some more stuff off the MSHAA website on friday.

Iron Mountain (27-0) vs. Pewamo-Westphalia (27-0).

Iron Mountain beat defending Champion Detroit Edison 60-57 in the semifinals in a great game. They are lead by super sophomore Foster Wonders who scored 28 and and junior guard Marcus Johnson who scored 23 points. That is 51 of the Mountaineers 60 total points and they only play around 6 guys.

Free press article on the win.

Pewamo-Westphalia beat Erie-Mason 60-45 in the other semifinal. They started the game on a 19-2 run and looked a lot taller tall tome thern EM. out rebounding them 46-32 including 22 offensive rebounds. They cut the lead to 23-22 but never took the lead as PW regroup and started to pull away from there. They are deeper team and taller team then Iron Mountain but I feel both teams are evenly matched.

Iron Mountain 40 PW 35. Not teams hitting some clutch shots. Lead cut down to 3.
IM ball 1:41 left. Iron mountain missed two front ends of 1/1’s up three. Now only lead by 1 with ball 22.7 left. Wonders made two free throws but Pw scored with 11.5 seconds left. IM ball .

They also called a travel on a layup that didn’t look like a travel to me to win the game .
I am so tired of refs deciding games.

What a terrible call by this ref. Iron Mountain had fouls to give , and that ref called a intentional foul. Absolute bull shit

Mshaa Michigan your refs are absolute joke Iron Mountain was totally hosed on the last plays of this game by the refs or a ref. You just can’t call a intentional foul in that spot.
Totally disgusting how this game ended.
