Quin!

better than Delmas apparently, and not just because of Delmas being injury prone. from what i'm reading he is pretty good in pass coverage, something that was sub-par with Delmas IMO.

Schefter...

Hold off on Glover Quin's agreement with Detroit. Another source said, Not so fast. Situations in free agency, as we see, can be fluid

Ah come on..that would suck if it didn't work.

WOOT! i told all of you id give credit to mayhew when he deserved it. Very good FA period. Safety, DE, OLB, CB need to be plugged via draft and mayhew will get a A for the offseason.

At the same time you guys need to recognize my side of the argument. Mayhew has brought in the same number of quality free agents this season as the previous 4 years combined imo (tulloch, KVB, Nate). If he did this year in and year out during FA you wouldnt have heard me bitching :D

Thank you MM for giving me something to look forward to this year.....defense is still a work in progress but is now fixable.

He didn't last year because of Avril mainly. But it was the right call to keep Avril based on 2010/2011. Obviously based on 2012 in hindsight it looks like it was dumb but AT THE TIME, right call.

Calvin, Suh and Stafford all had big deals that eventually they Calvin lower with an extension but had to restructure Suh and Stafford. Plus they had to keep Hill, Backus and get Tulloch long term and tender SLH, Hilliard, Levy. Plus the reports on Best were more positive since he participated in all the OTAs. That was free agency to keep the team in tact and add in the draft for the future. After a 10-6 year, that's usually the right strategy.

LKP, WE DON'T CARE about that anymore. The past is the past. Let's just focus on the present now. We're having what looks to be a very good free agency and even mhughes is happy

ESPN's initial report withdrawn, and we are also told that the #Texans are still in play for S Glover Quin.

or

RT @ttwentyman: Lions have agreed to terms on a five-year deal with S Glover Quin, according to league source. #freeagency

Hard to keep up.

Sounds like its a done deal 5yrs. I am very happy with what we have done. We need to get some OL and DE help but this is a very nice start.

Matthew Stafford ‏@Staff_9
Great day for our club! 3 new teammates! Welcome to the family fellas. Lets get to work! Thanks fans for making it a great place to play!

La Caforna says we might have Delmas back too. All hail Mayhew

Jason La Canfora reported on twitter that we have Quin and Delmas.

thatd be huge...DE, CB, OLB draft. Fisher could still be in the mix at 5. But tentatively id go Ansah, Wreh-Wilson, Khaseem Greene assuming Milliner and the OTs are gone and cover the rest of our holes on D.
