lol nice.....are 2 "solid" guys are our back ups! Yup sounds about par for the course for the detroit lions.

Hyder will be a backup this next year. Robinson can be good. Ngata can play better too. He was good in 2015, down to average in 2016.

Lions will add a closed end and pass rushing DT to team with Robinson and Ansah going forward.

Ansah injury was huge. He is a playmaker.

He's also turning 33 in a few days. To expect him to be better is silly. He's probably got one or two good years left. His best days are far behind him.

He can be better especially if there is a better DT and DE next to him. Ngata can still be a good player in 2017 in run D and pass rush. Ansah and Robinson are good players and Ansah can be great. Hyder is a good backup. Lions need a starting closed end and starting pass rushing DT but nose is set with Ngata and Robinson and open end is set with Ansah.

Pass rushing DT round 1. Need somebody to collapse the pocket, and get pressure up the middle

Why would you want to make more excuses for lack of a pass rush again next year? Ngata needs to be euthanized, he done. Best case scenario, he should be depth next year

Ngata was solid. Not bad. Playing next to better DT and closed end will help him. Plus Robinson eats more of his snaps. Robinson is the future at nose tackle. Ngata has a year left on his deal. He can play better with better talent around him. Use him wisely in snap count with Robinson.

Our young DEs will play better with somebody more talented next to them not named Ngata. Ngata has done nothing to convince us hes worth keeping.
