Rashan Gary declares for draft

Like you said not really a shocker. Play younger guys and take decision out of his hand and let him prepare for the draft I guess. Butt tore his acl in the bowl game is a great example of why sitting out of a bowl game should be considered.

Totally overrated player. He'll be in the CFL in three years.

My guess...I think if an NFL team takes him top 10 to be a difference maker, they might be disappointed. That said, I think he has the size and athleticism to have a long NFL career.

cfl was a bit of an overstatement, but I don't think the guy is anything special - blockable by any nfl lineman. he will get taken early and disappoint relative to his draft position but I think he has the potential to be a disappointment regardless of where he's picked.

Take it w/ a grain of salt - I told my buckeye friend that Joey Bosa mostly got coverage sacks and would be a bust in the NFL.

I don't think he's overrated at all. Even with a bum shoulder he still commanded double teams on every play and managed to put up good numbers. His Michigan career didn't even come close to what we hoped for but the majority of that was due to injury. He'll be fine in the NFL. I don't expect to see him in the bowl game and I don't blame him a bit for it.

I don't think he gets double teamed nearly as much as people say he does. I think people just assume he does because he so rarely is the guy making the play. he's a physical beast on paper but at best, a decent college defensive end.

To me, the guy that opens things up for the rest of that defense is Bush - as much of a douche as he is, he deserves credit as the best player on that defense, hands down. winovich makes a lot of plays too, but he always seems to be unblocked when he does, maybe because of his speed or he just reads offenses and knows where to attack - he reminds me of Chris Frey in that regard except he's much better, not undersized and he doesn't commit 45 yards a game in personal fouls.

STOP WITH THE DOUBLE TEAM BULLSHIT!!! He has never proven anything to warrant a double team. Im always looking for it and never finding it on passing downs. He flies so far up fucking field that the delay handoff works on his side 90% percent of the time. His technique is awful plain and simple. With all the tools he possesses, he should have had a Clowney-like college career. It never materialized this year and we got better use out of Josh Uche filing in and getting, I think 6 sacks in 3 games? He needs to put on weight and slide to DT. He can use his speed there to beat the center. His rip move and punch are nonexistent and he doesnt have a spin move. Ive been watching him and he tries to beat everyone with just speed and that just wont work against non-highschoolers. He needs help. Hopefully he finds a good coach in the offseason.

Anyway, Rashan Gary is delcaring for the draft. I have no idea how long he'll last in the NFL and neither does anyone else.

I thought he was a shoo in for a top 10 pick but now I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't the first Wolverine off the board.
