Red Wings 2 Rangers 1 Final OT

Looks Like still a game time decision for Zetterberg.

New Guy guy with letter Z. gets the winner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So freaking frustrating who all the freaking announcers from the broadcast to the studio just freaking hate the Wings... I am so freaking tried of the Bias against Detroit teams..

Calling that matching minor against Abdelkader after that ridiculous slash was absurd. They didn't call a hook initially, they only did it after they were forced to call a penalty by the slash.

And Nyquist did exactly what he should have Stepan when he hooked him by holding his arm up against him and drawing attention to it. Watching him whine was hilarious. Sorry bud, but your arm is not really supposed to be wrapped around a player to begin with, that's your fault.

Yup. After that ridiculous broadcasting i've made a vow to not listen to NBC's terrible, biased commentators any longer. They don't even try to hide it. Having said all that, the Wings didn't play that well, they gave up alot of shots and oddman rushes, Jimmy Howard stole this game for them. Officiating certainly didn't help either but the NYR controlled the puck more so you tend to get the calls when that happens. NYR are a whiny team I must say, even their coach said in the sideline interview that the Wings are 'one of the best at subtle interference/clutching + grabbing'. I'll do the radio from now on even if it's way ahead of the broadcast, small price to pay over listening to NBC bufoons. Oh well, 2 more big points for the Wings and that's what matters at the end of the day.

I agree with you... That coach has always been that way.. He was in Vancouver to.. Glad someone else saw the bias.. Heck and In only saw the third period.... Yeah Rangers were skating better then us...

Doc Emrick is hands down the best commentator I have heard for national broadcasts for the NHL. I watched the whole game and didn't think, "Man, they are really biased against the Wings." He loves hockey, I don't think he gives a damn who wins. In past broadcasts, he has gushed over the Red Wings. Not really sure I agree with this premise.

D. Its not him. I should have clarified .. Its all the freaking other guys... His color guy and the studio guys were really Bias against the wings... It was easy to see...

Yeah I'm pretty sure the other guy does Blackhawks games. That I can see.

I like Doc and Eddie both. Don't have a problem with either one of them. Pierre McGuire is sort of annoying, but he too usually talks positively about the Wings and their long run of excellence. I change the channel during the intermission, but I would think it's the studio guys who are the most guilty of anything resembling wings "hate."

I don't get the sense of bias at all, especially with the two main guys calling the action? Sounds like its one of those "if you're looking for it, you will find it" type deals.

A lot of bias but used to it. Most NHL teams look that way after 6 game road stretch. Howard stole that game and hopefully will quiet some of his critics. I am fine with him come playoffs.

it is true we need Howard to play like last night probably for us to win the Cup

Eddie Olcyk is the worst from NBC when it comes to Wings bashing. Doc Emerick is great at play-by-play and totally neutral.

And as a Howard-basher of late, I will acknowledge that he played outstanding and did indeed steal this game.

yup.

anyone that thinks Olczyk isn't slanted when it comes to the Wings isn't watching/listening to the games or is trying to be a contrarian.
