Last game before All-Star break. Win tonight and the Red Wings will sit in first place in the Atlantic Division.

I just noticed that no Red Wings were selected for the All-Star team this year (besides Howard who is injured). Seems rather hard to believe for a team that's near the top of the standings, and has a pretty good following around the league.

I know but maybe it will fire them up even more....

Zetterberg with 3 assists, + 2 not even halfway through the game.

Really like the makeup of this team so far, the special teams have been elite. PP was 2nd coming into tonight, PK is 5th. And for all the crap we gave the defense last year, so far this year they are #1 in shots against, 4th in Goals against.

What a crazy turnaround from last year.

I know we were all over that shitty hurt plagued defense.. I guess finally playing the kids worked.
Although Gus should have been up way earlier last season..

Two years ago everyone wanted Suter and ZP....I guess Holland had a number and stuck with it...

Suter would have been great, but both no way. not at the combined cap hit/years.

MIN is going to have a rough time building a winning team around them two.

I just wish they could do something with Franzen, he's a bad fit on this team. They really do look better without him.

Playing in the East is so much better travel wise then the west I think it helps their bodies a lot...

That kid has played decent in his spot....Teemu Pulkkinen... I like him. He has a rocket for a shot..
I agree its time for JF to retire or move on..

Mrazek has been good through 2, 21 saves on 22 shots, couple of high quality saves.

we might not need Gustavsson anymore when Howard comes back, Mrazek looks like the better goaltender than Gus.

if he had another head injury it might be best if he does, his cap hit is probably going to suck for this year and next at 5.5/3.5 for 2016/2017 for what he provides the team.
