This is the first time in a long time that the Wings have been this attrocious. What can be done to fix it?

A start would be cutting ties and replacing Cleary, Samuelsson, Quincey, Bertuzzi with some younger, hungry, competent players. Alfredsson is getting up there in age but he still has game left, but he might retire after this season. I'd be ok bringing him back for another year, based on his play this season.

All of those other guys are too old/washed up to be competitive in the NHL anymore, except in the case of Quincey, who just flat out sucks.

Ken Holland has alot of work to do, and it starts with fixing the defense. The only defensive players that are good on the Wings is Kronwall, Ericsson, DeKeyser, Smith. The rest are liabilities.
