Division 3 HS semifinals

Note: Muskegon is the best team in the state, and while this is a sweet run by Dewitt Beating last years d4 title winner Edwardsburg on the road I think they bow out here. Chelsea which has been to two recent finals in both d3 and d4. Losing last season to the Eddies, and in 2015 to Orchard Lake St Mary's is always good and tough. River Rouge has my attention after smoking orchard lake st marys 49-14. RR also bounces between d3,d4, and d5 losing in the d5 title game in 2015. Four studs in this semifinals but i feel there is just one super stud. It's the Big Reds.

Division 3 championship Enrollment in (parenthesis)

Saturday November 30th, 7:30 pm.

Public (954) Muskegon (13-0) vs Public (992) River Rouge (12-1).

Muskegon is 510-191-10 since 1950. In title games they have struggled in recent years losing 5 of the last 6 they have been in since 2012. They are 1-3 in d3 title games. 3-2 in d2 title games, and 2-0 in class A title games. This year they are amazing 638-106 points for and against. They have 5 shutouts, and 3 other games they held other teams at 10 or under. Last week Dewitt did give them a stressful 28-21 semifinal game. The Big reds have not missed the playoffs since 1999..

River Rouge since 1950 is 349-280-10 and have not missed the playoffs since 2009. This year they are at 479-99 points/against, and also have 5 shutouts have 4 other times held teams at 10 or under. The panthers only loss was 17-14 to GR CC who is in the d4 title game. Beating Orchard lake st Mary's by a lot has caught my attention. I see one final in 2015 in which they lost.

They got my attention after smashing Orchard Lake St Mary’s.

2nd year in a row that Cam Martinez was outplayed by another qb in the final.

These type of teams sadly are 1 dimensional in the regular season mostly running their best guys they have and when they have to throw things get upset for them. It’s all I got.

Like I mentioned I knew River Rouge would be tough. Orchard lake St. Mary’s hardly ever gets thumped like that. It’s why I had the big refs only -5 instead of double digits. Oh well ok conference still did alright.
