So one of Barrys Superpac's has this add up over some guy in Pittsburghs wife dying after Mittens and his Bain Capital boys bought up the mill and loaded it with debt and then sold it for parts and everyone in the plant lost their health care benefits....

So Mittens #1 spokeswoman goes on TV and defends it by saying.....

"To that point, if people had been in Massachusetts, under Governor Romney's health care plan, they would have had health care."

:lmao: which basically just rendered the healthcare argument moot in one quick slip of the toungue.

Do some due diligence and discover the facts. It's a super pac political ad, and duty-bound to mislead, obscure and out right lie if necessary. Even CNN called the ad "outrageous."

As for the "slip of the tongue" ... the #1 Mouthpiece said "Governor Romney's healthcare plan," and not "Obamacare."

The election is not about healthcare, per se. It's about how Obamacare will suck the economy down the drain even faster than it is circling it presently.

Mittens cant run on Health Care , his plan was eerily similar to Obamas and he actually advised Obama on the plan.

Andrea Saul just put the icing on the cake for the Obama team and pratically endorsed Univeral HC for the Romney campaign.

in 2008 Mitt ran on 2 things his Health Care plan he implemented in Mass and the Olympics....Now because his base screams nothing but repeal he flopped over to their side and abandoned one of truly good things he accomplished as Gov.

ya read my post correctly tard....I stated it was a Super Pac add in the first sentence.....Andrea Saul should have known better not to get drawn into defending her guy against a Pac add in the first place.....just say the add is blatant bullshit and move on.

Here ya go....Mittens already has the surrogates out trying to clean up Andrea Sauls mess......:lmao: ofcourse she doesn't wanna talk about Romneys HC Plan....it mirrors Obamas. :lmao:

CNN host Brooke Baldwin played Blackburn a clip of Saul's gaffe on Thursday morning, in which the spokeswoman responded to a super PAC attack ad on Romney by pointing out that the steelworker in the ad, who lost his wife to cancer, would have had health insurance if he lived in Massachusetts under Romney's universal health care plan. Conservatives have since lambasted Saul for going off message in bringing up Romneycare, which Democrats often point out is remarkably similar to Obamacare. Conservative CNN contributor Erick Erickson tweeted, "OMG. This might just be the moment Mitt Romney lost the election."
But in response to a direct question about Saul's comment, Blackburn changed the subject. "I didn't hear the full interview, and I haven't seen the tweet," she said. "But I can tell you what I know about the Obamacare plan. I know that it has already doubled in cost."
Blackburn continued to roll out anti-Obamacare talking points as Baldwin tried multiple times to interrupt her and steer the conversation back to Romneycare. "With all due respect, Congresswoman, we're talking about Mitt Romney," Baldwin said. "We're talking about a Mitt Romney spokesperson and specifically asking you to react to her comment. We played the sound bite where she is basically saying had this man gone to Massachusetts where he would have had health care, perhaps this would have prevented his wife's death. This has nothing to do with Obamacare."

Ummmm...she did refer specifically to Romney's Massachussetts healthcare plan...

"NEW YORK ? Mitt Romney's spokeswoman says a cancer-stricken woman discussed in a Democratic TV ad would have had health care under the Republican presidential candidate's health plan in Massachusetts."

Sounds like a gaffe to me.

Anne Coulter is running around going on Hannity and such, saying she should be fired.

Rush Limbaugh seems to be pissing and moaning it quite a bit; it's not just big lefty libs like Slick (who is Canadian, anyway, as I understand it) who are talking about this...

Not that the ad isn't below the belt...although the below the belt bar is getting lower by the day in this melee...

the add was total bullshit as are most Super Pac adds but Saul should not have engaged , just say the add's ridiculous and move on....she took the bait and got reeled in.

its funny watching them either try to cover her ass this morning or watch the hard right wingers demand her head on a platter.

While funny, I don't think it will play a big role in the election or anything. Romney (not an advisor) recently said his deficit reduction plan was "very similar" to the Simpson-Bowles plan.

Seems pretty clear why Romney kept such a low profile during the primaries. He can't get out of his own way. The more he speaks and appears in public the worse he seems.

cant wait for the 3 debates

Issues like these; they are ants. The elephants in the room are still stomping around. 15- trillion-dollar deficit. Polarization at levels of 1856. Fiat currency. Factions all running about for their own fiefdoms and special-special interests. Aluminum dropping from the sky. We eat poison for dinner every night. The real drug war should be against Lilly, Merck, Pfizer and not the Sinaloa drug cartel. The corrupt connections between politicians and huge businesses. There is no "justice," it's "just us."

Thank goodness for that Bush prescription drug plan for seniors, huh? Keeps us alive even after the poison; too bad it wasn't around for Juliet; she might have actually woken up in tme if it had been!

Byco, did you take that political affiliation test that Red posted? I'd be curious to find out where you line up; but I'd wager you'd come out pretty libertarian, like I did (too bad weren't any questions about relaxing restrictions on wagering, huh?)

byco, you're correct, but those issues are unknown to a large slice of the population and the corporate media will do nothing to change that. Because of this it's actions like what Slick posted that will determine the outcome of an election, that when all is said and done, doesn't really matter who wins.

Sweater Vest couldn't bring himself to defend RomneyCare either.....:lmao:

WASHINGTON -- Former Sen. Rick Santorum couldn't suppress his laughter Wednesday morning when reminded that he had once declared Mitt Romney to be the single worst Republican candidate to run against President Barack Obama on the issue of health care.
The Republican National Committee tapped Santorum to host a conference call attacking the Obama administration's new welfare waiver policy. But the question and answer session quickly turned back to that heated moment between the two, which took place during the Republican primary.
Andrea Saul, a top spokeswoman for Romney, stoked conservative fears on Wednesday by touting the health care law the former governor had passed in Massachusetts during an appearance on Fox News. Reporters wanted to know if Santorum felt a sense of vindication.
"I didn't see the show so I'm not going to comment on that," he said of Saul's remark that a woman, highlighted in a recent ad from a pro-Obama super PAC, would have had health insurance to help pay for her cancer had she lived in Massachusetts.
But even as Santorum ducked the issue, it seemed clear that his heart wasn't entirely in it. He let out a noticeable laugh as he offered a defense against the notion that Saul had given Obama a gift by speaking positively about the universal insurance model that Romney pioneered and the president adopted.
"All I can say is that [laughter] Governor Romney is going to be a far superior candidate [laughter] on the issue of health care than Barack Obama," said Santorum. "And Governor Romney has been clear, number one, he would fight for the repeal of Obamacare. He said that during the campaign."

Is there video of that Slick? I think I'd like to see ol' Ricker giggling through that statement.

Where's it at?

A high-school civics teacher would have given the strategic advise to focus on the nature of the ad and to not lament that the dead lady lived in the wrong state, even if these were two Democratic candidates in the primary stage of the campaign.

And this Andrea Saul chiquette looks like she's a high-school senior.
