Ron LeFlore article

I thought I knew everything about LeFlore but being 4 years older than we all thought I didn't know.

LeFlore had a nice inside out swing with lots of base hits.

One in a Million Ron LeFlore story.
from imdb

I watched this movie when it came out mainly because it was about our Tigers, and also hoping to see Tigers players. Wasn't disappointed, Freehan, Northrup, Cash, Stanley, Kaline were in it with a few lines.

I had forgotten about LeFlore hiding his real age. It reminded me of Tigers centerfielder from the early 60's Billy Bruton also hiding his real age.

Add that Deivi Cruz was 3 years older than what he was listed when he played for DET.

I remember reading the newspaper the day after LeFlore was traded to the Expos, becoming very POed and wondering just who the hell Dan Shitzeater was, and just WTF made him worth trading our ex-All-Star CFer for, and straight up?!?
