Running game

I thought the running game looked pretty good on Sunday. Im rewatching the game and I still like what I saw in the beginning. The end when they were just running Dives however shows the weakness on power blocking. But the counters were affective and just like last year they need to go left.

still can't kill the clock on the ground when they have the lead....Tampa should have been put away in the 4th and never should have had a chance to tie.

it's going to bite them in the a'ss once or twice this year if they can't correct it.

Yeah, the big problem with our running game is the lack of ability to line up and get 3 yards. We have to be creative with counters, spreading out the defenses, misdirection, etc.

I was watching the Raiders game last night and the way they ran at the end, two big first downs to run down the clock. That's what we need.

Come on dude Oakland played denver who again will be terrible against the run. Oakland running game is good the chicks of the lingerie football league could run against denver.

They have really big lineman that are strong plus two power runners. Though Dmac can do almost everything.

they ran the ball well in the 3rd, got up by 14pts, then in the 4th ran dive plays into the pile...
I checked, 12 runs of 4 or more yards in 26 RB attempts for 3 qtrs.

Bad defense by Denver, big RB on Oakland, they ran well. They got the job done.

I dont disagree that oaklands running game looked good. And Dmac is legit no doubt. But denver is terrible.

it doesn't help when the defense knows what you're going to do. do you blame the run game or the fact we went 0-4 on 3rd down on our last 4 drives, all passes? just gotta convert. preferably we don't end up trying to run out the clock by being predictable. stick with the offense. throw on first. do some play action. run run pass isn't the ideal play call succession imo.

That shows a good team, run when the other team knows you're going to run. Like Oakland did Sunday.

Fine. I just wish the Lions could get better at it. Maybe they will. I was hoping LeShoure would have helped out.

This. Best looked great on screens, and pretty good on his runs, but the change of pace back would have been huge when we were trying to run down the clock.
