Saleh signs with Jets

That's what happens when you have to hire a GM and also a coach.

The only way the Lions will ever get a top level coach is to pay them 10x what anyone else offers and similarly be willing to pay the top GM, OC, and DC...and probably position coaches too.

If they really want to win, that is likely what it will take. They will have to demonstrate in terms of financials that they are willing to do everything necessary to win.

That is unlikely to happen.

And we will continue watching Packers dominate until it does.

It might even require a difference of 20x...maybe even 50x...seriously. How much money will it take to get the best??? Start at 10x, if that does not get them, literally ask them how much it would take...and spend it. And be willing to give them everything they need.

E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G...nothing less.

Of course, the Lions are cursed and will still manage to go 0-16...cuz it's the Lions... every Pro Bowler will go down with an injury, the refs will still call every important play against them whether legit or not and the ball will simply not bounce in their favor.

Thus endeth the lesson on why the Lions will always suck...so who they end up with at coach and GM will never matter. They need to pay the best curse breaking voodoo, shaman, priest, and all other curse breakers, to come and exorcise the demon curse. When that happens, it is quite possible the entire Ford family will die and thereby forcing the team to be owned by someone new, but at this point I think I'm good with that.

money talks. It wouldn't take anywhere near 10x but they would definitely have to raise the bar. I think 2x would do it.

Belichick makes $12M a year. You offer any coach $24M a year and you are going to get him. Unfortunately, they would have to send compensation to the team if the Lions wanted to poach a coach that is under contract.

Dammit! really wanted Saleh

great so which bum are they going to end up with now. Least it won't be harbaugh I guess right?
