Save the gun law in NC

Wow.

This might be the most epically stupid thing ever. Police agencies might sell or donate confiscated guns to licensed gun dealers, who in turn will probably sell them back to the people they are likely to be confiscated from in the first place.

Seriously, the NRA disgusts me.

I don't get it. Wouldn't this reduce new gun sales by increasing used gun sales? Shouldn't gun manufacturer lobbyists have been against this?

I don't think the people buying these guns would be in the market for new guns anyways.

My guess is it's the gun dealers who pushed for this as a source for cheap, and easy to sell product, which could be donated to them after all.

There are a few places near me that buy, sell, trade in firearms and stuff, and a salesman once told me the used sales was easily 70% of the business because most people could not afford a brand new 870 express, but a used one was half the price.

for shits n giggles i looked up RI's gun laws too, and apparently RI's castle law applies not only in your house, but in your chicken coop as well.

as if i needed more reasons to never visit north carolina.

This is a recent thing. It's following the Wisconsin thing and we have protests every "Moral Monday" at the capital. North Carolina was on the progressive end of southern states. It's actually pretty great here.

Its the recent stuff that has made me not want to go. I mean, I have a general aversion to the south (especially the deep south), but till lately ive been mostly neutral on NC.

Since you mentioned WI too, i dont really want to go there anymore either, and I grew up there.

I feel bad for Wisconsin. all that SuperPAC money flowing into the state has really screwed things for those people. so much for "State's Rights" eh?

anyways... a law preventing the police from destroying confiscated guns is embarrassing. if every American in that district were like me, the clown that would waste everyone's time drafting such a stupid law wouldn't be in office much longer.

Obama is still in office. They want as many guns as possible in the hands of "their" people. They're waiting for the communist side of Obama to come out.
