Saw my first "Trump 2016" bumper sticker today

It was, oddly enough, an Anti-Trump sticker.

Had a picture of a smiling Trump, with the words "Trump 2016" below, but behind his pic, you could see the letters "F U _ K" with the "C" obscured by his head. Pretty clever for Texas!

But we need trump! How else will we keep track of all the dangerous Muslims and Mexican rapists?

Good point.

And I'm also curious to see the new Trump Hotel and Casino located at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue (with VIP access for America's Most Elegant Citizens), and the first Miss America Pageant to be held on White House grounds.

That's pretty funny.

Slide sidetrack, am I the only one who doesn't understand putting these on one's car? Only thing you might accomplish is pissing off someone who hates the candidate and if they are having a really bad day, they might make your day really bad too. Add to that the fact so many of the people who put them on their car NEVER take them off. Nothing says "Loser" like having a bumper sticker from prior elections...especially when it has the losing candidates on it. LOL

When attending University of Virginia Law School (after having been expelled from Harvard
Law after being caught cheating a Spanish test-he should have taken the Bush brothers up on their offer their offer to tutor him) Edward Kennedy rolled around town driving a Cadillac with a bumper sticker that read "You Can't Give Me Parking Ticket-My Brother is the President."

President Trump would be more embarrassing than 3-win 2008 Michigan Football.

Could not agree more, I saw a McCain/Palin sticker a little while ago and laughed my ass off.

I just think bumper stickers in general are dumb. Especially the political ones, you're asking for someone to spit on your car or do something stupid. I have a couple sports related window stickers on the back of my car, but I think bumper stickers are trashier.

McCain was in the news yesterday disagreeing with calls to stop refugees.

a neighbor of ours still has a McCain/Palin sticker on his BMW. He does it out of defiance because our area of Denver is largely considered heavy Liberal. He also left his Romney yard sign out for months and months after the election.

He's a tool.

I would vote for McCain + a reasonable running mate. He's bad at running for President, but he has a good resume. He reaches across the isle.

Not Romney though. Or Trump. Or Carson. Or Bush. Or Cruz. Or Fiorina. Or Rubio.

Maybe Kasich though.

Apparently, Trump has threatened to sue Kasich over political statements.

“Please be advised that in the event your ads contain any false, misleading, defamatory or otherwise tortuous statements or representations concerning Mr. Trump’s businesses or his brands, we will not hesitate to take immediate legal action to prevent such distribution and hold you and your organizations jointly and severally liable to the fullest extent of the law for any damages resulting therefrom,” said a letter late last night from Alan Garten, general counsel and executive vice president for the Trump Organization to Kasich and two top strategists from New Day for America.

I completely agree. The idea of Palin being 2nd in line terrified me, though. As for Kasich, he lost me with his idea of creating a government agency to promote judeo-christian values.

The only downside with Mccain is that he seems to be too quick to pull the trigger on a war with Iran and NK.

I hadn't heard that. Pandering maybe?

Seems like the 1st Amendment would make that a non-starter.

Yeah, and that 'bomb Iran" joke was pretty terrible...terrible not even counting that it was a reference to a pop song from 50 years ago and that was the entirety of the joke.

Funny, trump never gave a shit about accusing the president of being a foreign born muslim. Typical bully. Attacks and attacks and when he's on the defensive, he needs a 3rd party to protect him.

Their response:

?Mr. Trump?s been successful in suing his way to financial gain. Unfortunately, you can?t sue your way to the Oval Office,? said chief strategist Matt David in a statement.

?Trump can hire every trial lawyer in the country, but voters will ultimately decide this election. You can?t sue ISIS away. Suing Vladimir Putin won?t evict Russia from the Ukraine. The role of commander in chief requires leadership, not lawyers.?

I had hoped for a McCain/Lieberman ticket back in '08.

From Wiki:

McCain initially wished to choose Lieberman, his close friend and the 2000 Democratic vice presidential nominee, as his running mate; however, Lieberman's liberal record (voting with Democrats 86.9% of the time in the 110th Congress)[5] and pro-choice stance led McCain's aides to veto the choice.

Eventually his aides convinced him to go with Palin. He should have gone with his instincts. I'm not saying they would have won, but at least it would have been a better race. Then again, any running mate would have been preferable to Palin.

Shit, I know they are both old, but I'd even vote for McCain/Lieberman over the projected tickets being put forward by the Dems and Reps.

If they created a Moderate 3rd Party, I think it would actually have the most traction of any 3rd party ticket in recent history. Not saying much as it would only have to do better than Ross did...but still....

He couldn't have not won any more than he already didn't not win.

Who knows. All the conventional wisdom was wrong that election. Before the primaries started, I thought, and I think a lot of pundits thought, Hillary would easily get the Democrats' nomination while having little appeal nationwide while McCain would struggle and barely get the nomination. But if he could survive the Republican primary, he'd crush Hillary.

All of that turned out to be wrong.

If you've seen the HBO movie on the campaign, it would seem that Palin was forced on McCain by a faction of the party that wanted her.
