The Lions have to do something to shake this up... It is ridicules with the offensive talent the-Lions have that they all have regressed so much this year.. He calls a horrible game he chickens out at the goal lion with a chance to put the game away and all in all his game plans are terrible...

I am beyond pissed off.. You would think our worthless owner would be too but after years of losing I am not sure the Ford's really care about winning because the stadium is filled week after week...

I think I started a fire linehan thread after week 2, maybe it was 3 I don't know. Can we fire him yet?

Now that we're out of the playoffs I don't think it's a good idea to fire Linehan during the season. It's football. Instituting a new offensive system midway through the year could be dangerous and to difficult to do. And if you're just doing it for show, then what's the point? Just wait for the offseason and the make the moves.

But if I had to put money on it I would bet that he doesn't get fired at all. He can still hang his hat on the fact we had/have the #1 passing offense in the NFL. I do think the special teams coach will be canned though..

Will someone please just lie to me and say that they have insider info about Linehan being fired at the end of the season? Please? PLEASE?

The thought of him being in charge of this offense next year makes me want to dive face first off my front porch into the concrete.

Yeah I don't see them firing him this close to end of the season, but if they did, they wouldn't have to institute a new system, our system is fine, its the playcalling....we have the plays, we just don't call the right ones at the right time, and wait waaay to long to get plays into Stafford.
Unfortunately I agree, I think they will view playoffs last year, and what little good numbers we have this year as an excuse to keep him :(
