Snot Mitchell threw for 4338 yds, 32 tds and 12 ints and won 10 games.

Would he be considered our best QB in this Franchise with only one great season. 97 wasn't awful statistically but the rest of his career was a joke. Bobby Layne won a championship in the 50s but his stats were god awful.. Landry was below average to average with some decent years. What say all of you?

Perriman and Moore both had 1000 yard seasons. Sloan and Morton along with Barry. Top offense in Lions history I believe. Mitchell still holds a lot of single season records, which are soon to be obliterated by #9. I hope.

alot of short quick passes.......teams game planned for Barry

You obviously missed the '95 season.

attended 9 games that year......the WR's had a lot of YAC. Mitchell's arm was weak

Im a fan of Landry because he a relative of mine but with that being said. We have never had one of the elite qbs in football. Mitchell was a product of the system for one year with great talent. Then we passed on Moss because we had Perriman and Herman Moore started having a bad back. Thus another black eye in this franchises history.

Moore never got the respect he should have in my opinion. His leaping ability was amazing. That offense was amazing to say the least. Mitchell had what I call a balloon ball he never had real zip on it. I will never forget that QB sneak Mitchell had against GB on 4th and 1 when he fumbled and they returned it for a TD. Or his Halloween costume when he was Fontes. That was classic.

Pick #20 - Terry "Motha Fuckin" Fair

Pick #21 - Randy "Motha Fuckin" Moss

Are you kidding me? Everyone loves Herman Moore.

Does anyone have the clip of Scott Mitchell passing out after receiving the snap? I think it was against the Bengals...

Lot easier to throw when you see 8 man fronts every down due to the guy standing behind ya.

I would take Eric Kramer over that turd Mitchell anyday. Who knows what kind of numbers Kramer could have put up if he was ever given a chance to play a whole season by that incompetent A-hole Wayne Fontes. Kramer seemed to get the most out of that team & yet Fontes would never give him a chance to be the regular starter.

Fontes loved Peete , and then they went run n shoot with Andre Ware....but ya Kramer got a raw deal here.
