Here's hoping Zadina actually gets some decent playing time and not buried on the 4th line with Rasmussen.

Scratch Abby he's been awful all year, let Z take his place.

2-1 Wings end of 1st. Zadina got a few opp. but didn't touch the puck much. Helm & Nyquist scored for us. SJ goal was off the big footed skate of Ras. Wings played well.

Great play coast to coast by Larkin, right between the D's leg. Unfortunately didn't score. Best play all year for us imo.

Detroit playing against team with empty net
5 goals scored by Detroit (tied lowest in NHL)
6 goals allowed by Detroit (tied for most in NHL)
17 times played against empty net (tied for 6th least in NHL)

Detroit playing with empty net
6 goals scored by Detroit (tied for most in NHL)
13 goals allowed by Detroit with empty net (tied for 5th most, 15 is most)
30 times played with empty net (most in NHL)

I think they count the same games twice if an empty netter is scored and pull the goalie again.

Do you have any stats about teams scoring twice with an EN? Years ago teams would only go EN when down by one unless playoffs.. When did they implement it though?

SJ acquire:
Gustav Nyquist

Detroit acquire:
2nd round pick [2019]
Conditional 3rd round pick [2020]*

*Becomes a 2nd round pick [2020] is SJ makes finals or Nyquist re-signs with Sharks

Getting those picks. It's still weird seeing us as sellers. After 25 years of goodness.

Detroit did it a few times when they still had Pav and Z. Kinda rare but still happens, probably once or twice a month.

Its good for the team long term, still kinda sad to see Goose go.

The return could have been better had San Jose actually had other picks leftover.

From the first 3 rounds;
San Jose currently has:
2019: 3rd round pick
2020: 2nd round pick (which could be swapped for their 3rd round pick which Detroit now holds)
2021: 3rd round pick
They potentially have a 1st and a 2nd in 2021, however, both picks are reserved for Karlsson conditions to Ottawa.
