EDIT: For a moment I forgot that I will never use the term ?African American.? It doesn?t describe anything. Was the late great Canadian born John Saunders African American? Is Usain Bolt African American? Is Lennox Lewis African American? Is Idris Elba African American?
No, no, no and no.
Are there tons of Caucasian from the continent of Africa who are naturalized American citizens?
Yes.
African-American doesn?t describe anything that exists.
Don't forget Elon Musk and Steve Nash.
There are dozens which are probably categorized as Polkas.that's pretty good.
Poland has a national dance, right?
I remember there was a bit of a scandal years ago when I still lived in Chicago, when some catty lady who ran a Polish dance group/team said she wouldn't allow fat girls to participate, because she didn't want to make larger dance costumes, and they can't do all the jumps and lifts and what not. The Tribune or Sun Times went out and interviewed plus-sized dancers to refute her.
When people complained she was insensitive, instead of issuing a mea culpa, like one would expect to let it blow over, like "Oh, no, what I meant to say was..." she doubled down and was like "I meant exactly what I said. It isn't just that they can't fit in our costumes, I also think they're useless people and are bad for being fat."
I think the papers just ignored her for her own good after that. I assume you still will not find fat Polish dancers in Chicago to this day.
Oh yeah; I forgot how whenever I say "African American" most people think "White South Africans who moved to the US"

None of which I know, dancing is a repulsive activity.

Edit: and while thats kinda close, it's not the Icky Shuffle
Okay, what is it then?
Africa is a big country. So anyone who comes from there to here in America is an African-American. Or an American-African, if an American moves to Africa.
it's a lot of big countries with some small and medium ones too.

by the way, posting a video of a white guy, instead of Ickey Woods doing the Ickey shuffle is probably considered racist or at a minimum, a clear example of your whit privelege by the SJW types. and also cultural appropriation on the part of NPH's character in thatvshow ive never watched.
I get it.
It?s not really the Icky Shuffle without Icky himself doing it.
Liberal Hollywood limousine elites Carter Bays and Craig Thomas are the creators and writers of the show, who came up with the idea of the character Barney Stinson doing that Icky Shuffle.
I think it was in fact there are subtle way of recommending the dance to be the national dance of the United States of America.
Also, if it does become the national dance, obviously people who are not Icky himself will be doing it.
Since Neil Patrick Harris is actually gay, he checks off his own identity politics box, so it?s kind of a wash.
I'm not saying it has to be Ickey, it was still the Ickey Shuffle when I was appropriating it for my endzone celebrations during Chicago Sport and Social Club coed football games. I'm saying NPH wasn't doing it properly. Ickey rocks back and forth more and his finishing move is totally different.
