ANAHEIM --The Los Angeles Angels were rained out at home for the first time in 20 years Sunday, with heavy downpours forcing the postponement of their game against the Boston Red Sox. They were last rained out at home on June 16, 1995.

Los Angeles will host its first doubleheader since 2003 on Monday.

The Angels were rained out at home for just the 16th time in their 55-year franchise history. They hadn't even had a rain delay in a stretch of 359 regular-season home games since April 24, 2011.

SAN DIEGO -- In the first rainout at Petco Park since 2006, the game between the Colorado Rockies and San Diego Padres was postponed Sunday.

The Rockies led 1-0 in the top of the fifth inning when play was stopped. It was called after a wait of 2? hours.

The Padres had gone 820 games between home rainouts. Last one was April 4th, 2006.

The Rockies have been rained out in LA and San Diego and almost in Miami ...although they play in a domed stadium. It has rained so much in Denver this year that the Rockies had gone through an entire season's worth of Diamond Dry by the end of May.

No, that's a morning drive radio traffic tracking copter whose pilot happened to
lose a contact lens whilst over the stadium, and he's down there looking for it.
