Sometimes I miss the trolls

On slow days we could always count on them for pounding the keyboard. We should invite some over. Although I guess they were usually fairly tame until there were some losses. I have to imagine they would be all over some of the facets of the offense.

Some people had fun going back and with the trolls; others got pretty aggrevated. Seems to me Monster has decided to keep trolls off this board.

Maybe he could set up a special forum called the "Troll Booth," or something; once he identifies a thread or a post as being a trollling attempt, it would be quarantined over to the Troll Booth, where regular posters who wanted to could go and fuck with the trolls, while everybody else would be left alone.

yah we've almost totally eliminated other teams' fan from coming over here and trashtalking, which is sometimes fun, because when Michigan wins, then we can put it in their face.

I don't know which way is better, though. I used to get sick of trolls spamming the board with nonsense. There are good troll posts and then there's just spam.

no reason to bring trolls here. if you want trolls, go to the espn forums and check out their posts. a troll here with the ability to post pictures and videos could be a bad thing.

This is a great idea. I love troll booth section. Too funny.

Yeah, there was a fine line for trolls. Some were fun to mess with and go back and forth. It was frustrating when one would spam, and bump old threads. I always equated those trolls to computer viruses.

You're probably right. I can't stand the robust espn. It's painfully boring there.

A few of us Buckeyes have been invited over to play in this sandbox. If you would like I can pretend to be HighStreetMafia for a bit. I doubt I could keep it up for very long though.

if you want trolls... you could always drop by the ESPN board to get your fix.

I don't really miss them.

I kinda miss the ease with which you could talk trash to other fans. The spartans here aren't really good sports about it. They had a lot of crow to eat after the ND loss, but they weren't man enough to do it.

at least on ESPN there were enough fanbases that you could always count on having someone to trash talk... the best were Wisconsin fans after '06 and '08. They were still crying about those losses for days afterward.

Being a fan of a rival or opposing team is completely different than being a 'troll.' Especially when a 'troll' is ultimately one person using multiple personalities with the sole intention of disrupting a board.

Just my two cents
