NBA team stats say the Pistons are just not that good. Mike Valenti from 97.1 in Detroit mentioned the NBA is pace/space/3pt shooting league and the piston just don?t do any of those well. Hopefully they post that segment and I can get it on here later. Pistons roster is just so poorly put together. Remember there are 30 teams in the NBA. I know some sample size at only 7 games . But where are the shooters on the team? Plus we need a point guard in the worst way.

Points per game .............18th 111 per game.
Pistons allow 112.6 point per game. Not sure where it ranks.
Rebounds per game . Pistons rank 7th with 48.7 per game.
Pistons 4th in offensive rebounds per game 12.6 per game.
Pistons rank 26th in 3pt shooting percentage at 32.3 %.
Pistons rank 20th in 3pt makes at 10.4 per game.
Pistons rank 16th in free throw percentage 75.9 %.
Pistons 30th in assists per game. 19.1 assists per game.
Pistons 12th in turnovers per game with 14.3 per game.
Pistons 24th in blocked shots with 4.3 per game.
Pistons 30th in steals at 5.0 per game.
Pistons 18th in plus/minus on the season averaging -1.6 combined team.

When our new coach when he got hired said everyone was going to shoot the 3 I cringed. It was never a good idea. Drummond had 11 last year, his most ever. So far he has 8. The only saving grace has been Griffin but I can't see him staying at 48%.

Sadly the league has become a three point shooting league. Adapt of die. Hitting open shots will open up to middle for AD and Blake. Plus we need to pass the ball way better.
